    Default Anyone else getting jerked around by bodog?

    I requested a payout on February 11th and have yet to see it. Each time I call to check on it I get the same company line. It's always going to arrive in the next few days. Just wondering if this is an isolated incident or a bad sign of things to come

    Got a ** withdrawal in about 2-3 business days. In fact, I was late by about 3 days picking it up.

    neteller are great, no problems here, use them every day

    At first, you said you withdrew using NETeller at CRIS. When someone questioned you regarding NETeller and the UK, you changed your story and said you withdrew using Moneybookers.

    That just seemed a bit fishy to me, as NETeller works fine outside the US, and CRIS still uses NETeller.

    I use at least 10 sports books a day, I dont believe CRIS still use neteller, but I am willling to be proved wrong.

    I used moneybookers for my Cris transactions, I made a mistake in my OP! big deal.

    SBR, I don't think I speak for myself only in suggesting that you need to make up your mind what type of forum you want this to be.

    I understand the purpose of the ignore button. Nevertheless, when one individual is obviously out to irritate and annoy, and you allow that, you are simply not protecting the quality of this forum. I also have reason to believe that people who go to considerable lengths to share their insights here, such as for example Jay Edgar, may be the first to question their reason for doing so if you allow total idiots on here.

    This Jamie character knows nothing about the industry, is not funny, and is just out to annoy others.

    i requested a check on jan 24, it came i guess but they had the wrong address so it was returned to the sender. they said they are going to resend it.

    how ****ing lame is UK jaime. i havent been here in a while but my god is this buy a english flamer or what. go play some cricket f\*g.

    I have no inside information and I cannot say with certainty that Bodog isn’t flat broke and planning to shut down in the next five minutes. That being said, based on the publicly available evidence and my own recent payout experiences with them, I have a high level of confidence you aren’t being stiffed and you will get your money.

    Bodog, like many books, is struggling mightily with the logistics of getting money to their American customers. Some methods (e.g., Neteller) have ceased to be available, and most or all of the others are seriously hampered.

    Due to new American bank policies and practices, bank wires are much more difficult to get through, and so Bodog has ceased them. (They tell me they started them up again recently, only to have to stop again later the same day.) Checks are a lot more difficult as well, and Bodog has been trying to stay one step ahead by switching processors. But I know some books are having to limit how many they send per day or per week, as they’re trying not to “burn through” the processors and bring them under suspicion with too many sportsbook checks. This may very well be going on with Bodog.

    Since all the trouble in the industry began in January, I have received six payouts from Bodog, so they are definitely paying. I received three Fed Ex checks, ranging from 3 days to 14 days. I received three ** wires, ranging from 1 day to 4 days.

    Far from discouraging withdrawals, Bodog is actually trying to facilitate them by picking up fees few books pay. Not only are all these checks free, but they are paying the exorbitant ** fees for one payout per week per customer (and at times they’ve been paying for more than just the one per week), which has to be costing them a fortune. They are also steering people toward whatever method is currently fastest, even when this is the one that costs them the most—Western Union.

    None of this is what one would expect from a book short of funds. To me, it actually looks like they’re trying harder than most books to do right by their customers and get them their money. But circumstances have greatly squeezed the pipeline and they are a huge operation, so at times the queue gets quite long.

    One other thing to keep in mind: While I would rate their customer service among the best in the industry in terms of courteousness and actually speaking clear English, the unfortunate fact is the people you can reach on the phone have very, very little relevant information on the payouts, which are handled by a completely different part of the company not even in the same country. As one of them admitted to me when I pressed her, in terms of payout timing and such, they are only offering educated guesses based on things they’ve picked up through the grapevine or even from phone calls from other customers, and the information is often stale or just plain incorrect.

    You very, very likely will get paid though. And next time I would recommend ** if that is an option for you.

    Thanks for the insight. I'm not familiar with **. Does that mean you're able to get your withdrawl from any of those ** places in stores?

    Yes just go to any ** store or place that handles ** and you can pick up your money. One thing I recommend is don't go to CVS or smaller stores to get big withdraws. They often don't have enough money and will send you else ware. Go to a bank and pick it up they, are always more than happy to help.

    So as not to make it obvious it is from a sportsbook—Western Union has a policy against using their service for gambling—it’ll be sent to you from an individual rather than a book. Bodog, for whatever reason, has been using people in the Phillipines. They’ll e-mail you the sender’s name and information, and a ** control number. You’ll pick up the money at any ** outlet—in a grocery store or wherever is convenient for you. You fill out a form, show them your ID, and depending on the size of the withdrawal they may ask you for such things as your social security number and your occupation. Depending on how much cash they have on hand, they will either pay you in cash, pay you with checks (which you can generally cash immediately at your bank, as they know who ** is and that they’re good for the money) or some in cash and the rest in checks.

    If you go to the ** website, you can get a list of the locations nearest you. There is an 800 number for any questions you might have.
