Default Pinnacle

Those of you watching Spurs v West Ham on Sunday may have noticed that Pinnacle are increasing their advertising in the UK, they had substantial time on the stadium boards (visible on ESPN in the US I understand) as well as advertisement on the post-match interview backdrop etc.

I watched the game and noticed it too.

It is gut wrenching to watch a game that has pinnacle ads, and Mansion on the shirts of one of the teams, and be in a place where we cant even use these guys.

What a great game too. Unreal finish.

They will be the Number 1 there in no time, most of those UK books are a joke compared to pinnys odds..

Unfortunately that will never happen as most punters in UK just want a bet with a reputable UK company and are not price sensitive as a rule. They would rather take worse odds and go with william hill or ladbrokes.

Along with the fact that Pinny only offer Asian Handicap odds on soccer. Most UK punters would sooner bet fixed odds with a 15% overround as things stand

possible Wack..but maybe its only a matter of advertising, and more UK people starting to use them so others will jump on the train. After all Pinny is 1000% safe too.

It would be good i think, the UK books might be forced to offer better odds too.

Yes pinny will be good for Uk books in that they will make them think about their odds, but don`t forget that horse racing and dogs are probably the most popular over here rather than sports betting. With UK books you can make as many withdrawals as you want free of charge which you can`t with pinny.

I was able to have a friend open a pinnacle account and deposit some cash for me and have a IP mask for my router so i can still use Pinnacle from the US.

Really dumb question for the people who are in the off shore industry deeper then me.....Any chance pinnacle will allow US customers down the road, 1 ,3, 5 years from now?

a lot of european punters think that bwin is the best bookie in the world. They don´t mind of the 87 -91 % payout.

What a wonderland for all US bookies

I dont think Billy's or Coral or Fred want the sort of customers who would bet at Pinnacle, they want loads of people doing 20 quid accas on the 115% over round footy markets, or a Yankee on the Horses, they hate price sensitive customers. Plus I dont see very many casual customers adapting to a American style book, I think that the majority of players betting at Pinnacle will not be making open wagers, but dutching ,scalping, whoring the other side of bonus plays or out of line prices, as well as Bookies hedging out via companies like betbrokers.

What a wonderland for all US bookies

I am from Europe, and I use Bwin frequently for betting.
I always received my payouts in max. 3 days (and this means a hundreds of payouts for more than 5 years), and my account's never got limited in spite of that I sometimes win bigger ammounts (tho I guess the reason for this is that I usually make combo bets with bwin, not singles and sometimes play in the casino too), and I never had any major problem with them.

I like bwin because they offer a large variety of oddses and bet types on european sports(soccer, basketball, handball etc...), which not many bookie offers. Many of my friends are using them too as a bookie, some got their account's limited, some not, but they always received their payouts, and neither of them had any other (big) problems with bwin than the limiting.

My guess is, that Bwin handles customers from Europe more professionaly, than other users, as their business is Europe-orientated...or maybe the bwin department for my country is more professional than other departments, I don't know. Bwin is a really big bookmaker in Europe, it's sponsoring a LOT of well known sport teams, clubs, national teams, and they are advertising a lot in tv, newspaper, etc....they usually have a very good reputation in Europe.

Before somebody would say that I'd better try other bookies and I will see the difference...I use Pinny if I want to bet bigger ammount on a single bet, or TheGreek for US sports special bets - these are very professional bookies, and my personal favourite is Paddy Power, with the fastest payouts.

What I am trying to say is, that I know that bwin hasn't got a good reputation overseas, still, the way they handle things here seems to be far better than what I can read about them in forums....

I wouldn't bet against anything that Pinnacle has a mind to achieve.

All the brokers 10 years ago said no one would use electronic trading. Now they are begging for 25% of the fees they used to get.

Bottom line is people with money will go to the best odds. Pinnacle will dominate Europe and will continue to dominate the US. I would guess they are getting 70% of their previous US action.

So far people who play big soccer bets clearly prefer asian books. Pinnacle has to increase limits to become a serious competitor in soccer.

in all honest kiwi,

it will take a long time before Euro or other bettors, who are not 101% pros like you, will bother with asian market; you know what europeans think about china etc. (cheap crap) so i am sceptical about it; many people here think that even Pinnacle is not a strong brand

plus recent Pointbet issue is probably the worst, they were the only known from asia here
