Thumbs down Pointbet downgraded to F

This books finally bottoms out after all the complaints racked up against them in recent months.

    03.05.2007 (10:06 AM CST)

No-Pay bookmaker, Pointbet downgraded to F.
Players from around the world are writing in daily to ask what they can do to increase their chances of receiving payment and to help keep others from becoming Pointbet victims. Pointbet.com is still accepting deposits from unsuspecting players yet the last report of payment was received in December of 2006. Debt to players is estimated to be into the millions.

It`s all well and good downgrading them but they are obviously going to stiff everyone,me included so why not just take them off and not give them a rating.

    this is a good downgrading

I know that probably my money it's lost but it's the only way to help keep others from becoming Pointbet victims...

Of course it is correct that SBR downgrade them but my best chance of being paid was someone elses deposit money.

If you don't like it don't read the thread. Some of us have lost a LOT of money.

Personally I will be bitter until at least 2010.

I reckon they have been stockpiling cash ever since mid-december, made a few payouts then had decided to call it a day, guess they will stay online until the last players stop depositing which can't be far away. I don't reckon a million deposited tomorrow would make them pay.

I'd rather not get paid at all than get paid with some unsuspecting sucker's money anyway.

Pointbet looks more like a scam now than a struggling book. I don't know of anyone who has been paid in months while players signup and redeposit.

POINTBET PAY FOR YOU ONLY YOU MAKE DEPOSIT.
BUT MONEY YOU DEPOSIT AS LESS MONEY YOU WITHDRAW. IF NOT, PLEASE WAIT NEXT YEAR.

Default deposit made by moneybookers.. money never received

    Hi Guys,
i hope i have been one of the last pointbet victims.
I didn't try to withdraw my money.. simply i made a deposit today through moneybookers.
Deposit was approved by moneybookers, but the money never received into my pointbet account.
I have read about problems for withdraw, but i dont think i will see my money into my acount in pointbet.
Chat always offline. I guess you know all already.
I didn't play with them for last 9 months.. i sow website had livecasino. So, i went there to talk.
I suggest all of you to go to the livecasino in the roulette.
You will find 1-2 operators of pointbet who will tell you simply to wait, that they will pay and everything like that.
Now, after 14 hours i dont have still my money on my pointbet account. Isn't it possible to cancel that payment i made?
Anyway i am afraid i didnt read those things earlier.. i didn't know. The livecasino is always with nobody there placing bets... it is ridicolous to say but it seems they are all there just to show and let ppl think they are all right. But i dont believe they are all right if in the live casino i see nobody for hours and hours and only me complaining to the operators.
What shall I do? I guess i lost that money.
    Hope my information could help..

    thankx

I think that good for new player, we should write a letter to moneybookers and tell them. Dont transfer any deposit to pointbet account.

This is the test that they are accepting new deposit especially with moneybookers. And until now they are not payng the customers since more than 2 months , so they must be considered a scam book.
I know that it's against my interest, that the only hope that i can be paid it's that new customers make new deposit, but this is not right absolutly..

I Ask to Bill or to moderator if really it not possible to make something with is..For Example like tell Winning2007 to write to moneybookers or to do something other...

Why did you guys wait til now to downgrade them to "F". In the past, with other books you downgraded them to "F" within days. Explain...

To be fair they had slowpaid in the past and then coughed up in the end. They were a half decent book 12-18 months ago when they would accept $000s on US lines they were very good, same low juice as pinny and some good lines. It's easy to say with hindsight that it should have happened earlier, but if they had finally paid (as they had before) it would then have been the wrong call with hindsight.

News started pouring through on some asian sites in the last week of Feb, so given some time to verify stuff etc I think the SBR guys have acted as swiftly as could be expected, and fairly as usual.

Pointbet should be reported to "scam alert" sites. What a shame...still sucking money from newbies and the un-informed. Maybe there should be a big "Pointbet is a Scam" banner.

Thanks Wack. Thanks to strong warning signs from mgt. and daily updates from hundreds of players we had very good coverage.
SBR downgraded Pointbet to D- in the last week of January.

Downgraded to D in December despite some reports of payment mixed with no-pay complaints.

Players have written in to say that forum posters saved them from depositing as well.

Writing to MB can't hurt and I would certainly do that, especially if a CC was involved. You can be sure that Moneybookers is getting many emails about PB. MB seems slower to act against a merchant than Neteller.

Companies House have agreed to delay the motion to strike:

I refer to your email concerning the company POINTSPORTS LTD Company
    Number 5499007.

Please note the company was being removed from the register by the
Registrar of Companies because of the company's failure to file an up to
date annual return. Companies House received no response to the notices
sent to the registered office and it was assumed the company was defunct
and in the circumstances dissolution action was commenced. As the
company did not apply for voluntary dissolution you would therefore not
    have received any notification.

I confirm your objection to the dissolution of the company action has
been registered our action has suspended until 6 July 2007. If you need
to maintain your objection after this time, you will need to provide up
to date evidence of action being taken to recover the debt.

If you feel the company or its officers have defrauded yourself or any
other creditors then you should send any evidence that you have and
contact Companies Investigation Branch Department Of Trade & Industry PO
Box 447 London SW1H OWU or on telephone number 020 7215 5000 or
    vetting.section@dti.gsi.gov.uk

I hope this information clarifies the position.

    Regards
