I've dumped £6k at bet$3.65 since I opened account in last december. My account was suddenly limited to £30 last month after I won £1400 on a football game. I fired an email to them emphasizing my account had been losing but was told it's the traders' decision and it would stand.

Anybody had a similar experience before? I thought they only limited winning accounts. Should I fire another email to their CEO to discuss this decision? Their traders seems to be reluctant to make profits from my account.

Yes. They cap people who are down a lot more than you, because they correctly realize that it's not whether you win or lose. It's how you play the game. People like you and me hurt them in the long run, and while it may be poor gambling etiquite to not let you win it back first why shouldn't they walk away when they're still ahead, assuming they're going to cap you later anyway?

Apparently bet3.65 is dissatisfied with their +110 edge, and also wants to personalize things by ensuring they're ahead on an individual basis.

Take your money out and play at a better book.

Or give them something to think about.

In retrospect, I probably just lucked out. If only because I was dealing with the 'no worries mate' Ozzies.

If you try it, good luck. Your argument should be that you want an equal opportunity to win your losses back, as they had before you lost.

May work better if you can gather some people with a similar bet3.65 experience. Then see if any British newspapers are interested in the story. Mail out a flyer to those newspapers, or share your story in one of those on-line comments boxes (that won't get lost in the spam), and my guess is you should get some responses. Especially local newspapers in Europe tend to pick up on these type of 'small news' stories. I've done this in the past. Not gambling related. You wouldn't believe how you can embarrass a big company with a small, but true, story. (in this case I send an e-mail to a newspaper, which verified the story, then published it. The end result was that the company publicly apologized and promised to change its ways. The company and newspaper were in the same town). If you end of trying this, make sure you write your story towards a headline or interesting theme. The newspaper has to think the public will get a chuckle out of it or have their interest peaked, preferably both. The theme here is something like "did you know your bookie hates a loser?" Then paint a totally unrighteous picture of a company taking your money, but not allowing you to win it back.

Could be fun. Who knows. The British government might even find it interesting. They regulate gambling very tightly.

It doesn`t matter whether your account is winning or losing if your an arb punter you will be limited,that goes for any book,its just a matter of how long that takes.

There are a couple ways to get profiled as a professional. Playing arbs, beating them to steam moves, or even beating the closing number will get you marked. Win or lose, getting the best of it will get you tossed from 365.

I got limited too ....i can only get to bet a max of ard US$3 for low division leagues. For major leagues like EPL, i get less than US$150.

Overall, my account is losing too. But they limit account not based on the win/loss.

I think they are real lousy.

Yes I generally agree that every book will limit you once they realize you are an arb or steam player and it's just a matter of time... Besides Pinnacle who's side is usually the loser of arbs. there are only two or three other books I can think of that won't and exchanges won't care either actually... Correct me if I am wrong forum but exchanges are where arb. players should be... That's how I pick my games... Anyone who has arbed knows that 75 percent of the time when an arb. exists between Pinnacle and a few recreational books: that the recreational side usually wins. Houston/Den. was an arb. with ML and side... Pinnacle has Den. -3 +107 and two other recreational books has Hou. +3 -105.. Guess who is winning..?

The other thing is this and I have been meaning to post this for a while... Pinnacle has it in their terms that they monitor the sites you use... They cleaned it up a bit because it used to be more blatant and say "so we can see what you're doing.." that's gone... I think they know in more ways then one... Any comments on this...?

I don't know exactly how to put it so rather then not be accurate I am going to ask my brother who is a network engineer.. I know he can do it and as a matter of fact I know he watches mine from time to time so if he can do it I bet they can too....

I very much doubt that 75% of the time the "soft" side wins. More than 50% yes, nowhere near 75.

Bet £3.65 had me limited for years, then the other day unrestricted my account (!) - I had been losing for some time there. After the unrestriction I tried $15000 on a premiership goals bet - they accpted the $5000 and a trader turned the rest down. It lost. I also had several other wagers of $2000 which all lost.

A few days later I logged in and found I was restricted again! So there you go.

It was a PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALL MATCH. They regularly boast of taking wagers up to $1 MILLION on these games. Only from those who lose of course.

They aren't monitoring me either since I only use them on a stand alone terminal with no other windows open, and as soon as I have finished I close the browser and clean all cookies and temp files. Combined with periodical changing of system registry/wiping hard drive etc. If they are monitoring me despite this they must be spending a fair amount on this.

Of course they are guessing. If you aren't backing large sums with them regularly on poorly priced favourites you are going to be limited, simple.

I took them for over 100k in a month once when I noticed a small flaw they have in some pricing of a certain market. I was lucky to win that much as the edge was only small. For reference they paid the whole lot almost immediately when requested via wire.

I know a few players who have won more money there than any other books, and some of them are arb players. Pinnacle is often/always on the right side of the line but luck can overcome that 1-2% edge in the short and medium term quite easily.
