Florida would be favored by 3 and the total would open at 38.

Alabama action would drive the line down to a pick and a total of 33.

Florida would win by 5 and the under is never threatened.

    True story.

Whatsgood5.........I'm not trying to convince of anything but would like to ask a question.

There is no-one, not a single team in the nation whi has more pressure on them to perform and win every single week than Florida. I'll be the first to admit that they haven't had the impressive numbers from a scoring perspective this season but I'll also point out they did lose their offensive coordinator who became the head coach at Miis St. The guy calling the plays now was the offensive line coach last year. They aren't the most creative types around so this has added to the less than impressive performances. Still Florida has won every game that they have been presented with. They've won it on defense and scored what they needed to score.

What would it take to impress you with Florida?

Now I am just as impressed with Alabama because just like Florida they have done enough to win even when it wasn't pretty.

Both teams have a couple of hurdles left. Primarily for Florida there is that FSU game that all of a sudden isn't a gimme but in all likelihood both Florida and Alabama will be meeting undefeated and give us all a classic game.

Oh gee, I am trying not to go all Fishhead on ya. I hope that both teams go into the SEC championship game undefeated and the winner wins the whole thing. I would really like that team to be Alabama. But if it can't be them, then go Tim Tebow. And I don't think I would feel the same way if Florida had a different QB.

Nina I doubt any Florida fan would wish any other team win the National Title game if Alabama Wins the SEC.

No need to go Fishhead on us. I said nothing negative or defense worthy about Alabama.

This is hilarious. I think I'd rather have Tim Tebow making plays than McElroy. Florida's dbs are much better than Alabama's.

ALABAMA should have won last year but didn't finish the deal...if BAMA expects to win this game against FLORIDA they better get that offense going.it is very shakey right now and they have to look for a new way to win every week.i think ALABAMA will want this game more due to the fact they had them beat last year until the last 8 minutes of the game and the wheels fell off.in the end i think ALABAMA finds a way to win and it will be on offense for a change and meet TEXAS for the national title....i hope anyway!!!!!!

I highly doubt that considering Fl knows it IS the SEC championship and they have to win it to get to the National Championship.

I agree 100%. 'Bama's D is as good as it gets. And while Mark Ingram is money, Alabama's QB Greg McElroy is pretty inconsistent. Overall a slight nod to Alabama based on its defense.

Didn't we have this discussion last year??? What did UF do even without Percy Harvin? Took over the game in the 2nd half. Expect the same thing this year. UF's depth on defense will wear Bama down just like last year and Tebow will make more plays then Mcelroy. Bama really should have lost to LSU today if LSU weren't so banged up and if the refs didn't blow calls. I love Bama getting all the love. If you think UF is going to see the finish line and not break through it, you are sorely mistaken. UF is moving the ball on everyone and will do the same thing with Bama. Don't let Red Zone inefficiencies fool you. UF is the better team.

Like always Mac u are right, UF is the better team and u just pointed out all
Bama's faults. UF is so dominant right now, they can turn it on at a moments notice besides playing garbage teams.

LSU scores 15 points and would have probably won the game without the scab refs. If they didn't lose their QB and star RB. Yet UF held LSU to 3 points in their house but Bama has the better defense??? UF shuts down UK, UT and Vandy, Bama struggles against them. UF has beaten Bama 4 of 6 SECCG but Bama's everyones favorite??? All UF does is win championships but folks still doubt the Gators. Gotta love it.

I wonder if folks actually watch teams play...

Do you want to know how many TD's UF has given up ALL YEAR LONG??? Try just 6.
    One against UT
    One against UK
    Two against Arky
    Two against UGA
    THAT'S IT...

Oh, but the offense sucks huh?
UF's offense ranks in the SEC
#1 in scoring offense, #1 total offense, #1 rush offense, #1 pass efficiency offense, #1 first downs, #1 3rd downs conversion...

Yeah Bama is the clear choice

I very much agree Mac. I think many times people like to go against the team that is winning (the yankees this year, patriots a couple years ago, and in this case kind of, against UF as they won it all two out of the last three years and are strong contenders for it this year).

These teams are both very good, but to say Alabama is clearly the best is a little ridiculous. Florida's defense was great last year, and they returned everyone. Florida held LSU, who is very good in the SEC behind the top two to just 3 points.

These teams are very close in strength in my opinion but Florida's D is incredibly dominant, and I believe their offense is better than people give them credit for.

It amazes me how Florida can be at the top week in and week out and yet they're actually underrated in the public eyes.

as 1 dimensional as bama is right now, i dont like their chances of beating florida. that being said, i see no reason why mccoy cant have a good day against florida...we will get to see though

  33. #33

It will be a good match up that Florida will have a small edge in most likely. Both teams like to run, and Bama does have the better rush defense. The Hightower injury could loom large though. McElroy throws a better deep ball than John Parker, and for whatever reason Tebow has been way easier to pressure this year and made more mistakes. I think both teams fans have reason to be optimistic. Its a hard game to cap though because both teams have so many matchups that will be the toughest the others seen and its hard to know whats gonna happen till they get on the feild. I know I am super pumped though
