I have always made fun of the guys ar work and in town about their hick accents. Then I heard myself on video last week and almost balled like a little school girl when I realized after all this time I have a hick accent. I've always prided myself on not acting or sounding country. I've been living a lie that only I thought wasn't a lie. And, yeah, the Southern drawl is great (for women). When I was in South Carolina I was at this diner and our waitress took our order. At the end she asked us if we wanted grits with that. We both declined and she said, "Oh, y'all must be from the north." I took it as a compliment.

Thank you Cougar Bait. In that case, it was most likely an observation instead of the normal insult.
Since I still don't have much of a voice this morning, throat still scratchy, and my nose is stuffy, I am thinking that perhaps it isn't all game related. Mr. Nina had the swine flu. He better not have given me those cooties.
