Iowa super safety Greenwood may not start for the Hawkeyes.........as somewhat expected.

This should provide at least a couple long pass completions by the well coached Wildcats as they take advantage of this kink in the Iowa defense.

I will not be wagering this game............really don't know what to expect.

Iowa winning by 30+ or losing outright would not surprise this observer.

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE BETTING THE GAME...........

We already know JJ's a loser... he doesn't have to beat himself up about it. JJGOLD follow your own rule...take the side of better coaching remember?

This is a huge trap game

    Indiana game...
    Mich St game
    OSU next week

Northwestern's offense has traditionally given the hawks problems... look at the past couple of years... This year's team can score just as well... +17 is a huge line to cover.... Problem is the line is pounded and its not +17 Fishead. Its +14.5 now...

Obviosuly don't think Northwestern is gonna pull of an upset, but I do think 17 is a bit much. I actually got Northwestern at +15.5.

Iowa playing another bad football team, at home, and it will be close. Just like NIowa, Ark St, and Indiana.

MSU I think your right. When you are playing Ohio State next week they could be caught looking ahead also.

Iowa had no less then FOUR offensive starters out for NIOWA and it was a game that NIOWA had been gearing for like non-other in their history.........and at that time, UNI was a very good football team.

IOWA toyed with Arkansas State and only a late score by arkst made it appear close.

IOWA beat Ind by 18 pts.........and covered.

Iowa defeated PSU and WISKY by 10+ on the road.......and defeated what may be the 1st place team in the Pac ten after today, Arizona.

Iowa is ranked #2 by the computers for a reason, they are simply stated, a very good football team with a tremendous all-around defense that leads the nation in interceptions.

NW was beating psu for most of last week's game . They might be able to keep it tight, with a fluke turnover or special teams play

It's a Big 10 game. Enough said. This is the worst conference in the BCS, so anything can happen. Pass.

Wouldn't bet against this team and the luck they've got going for them right now.

Though I really actually like the over.

Safety Sash, DE Clayborn, and LB Angerer are all contending for 1st team ALL-AMERICAN honors............that my friend, is impressive.

Fishhead your right on your points here. They are a good team with a good defense. Sometimes it is hard to get up for teams when you have a big game next week. That is why I don't know if Iowa can score enough with Northwestern in this game today. They could get caught looking ahead to next week if they get a lead.

IOWA's last two games HOSTING NW have seen them installed as -8 and -20 favorites...............

IOWA not only did not cover, they lost both outright!

Do you see my point now that Iowa probably will not cover this game today. I think they get caught looking ahead to next week.

Fish, you are smart enought to know it shouldn't matter who is out when you play NIowa at home. The Ark St game was less than 14 throughout. You can fool yourself with the final score all you want, but that Indiana game was tight throughout.

Iowa is a good football team in a bad conference. Nothing more.

Iowa sack the QB there so Northwestern has to kick it again.
