well it all depends on how you use it.

$100 freeplay on 1 all in play is to win like 91 on a -110 play..win it, you got 91
$50 cash on a -110 play is to win like 45 i think...win it and you got 95

so not much difference b/t the 2

freeplay, you can only bet like a 3 team parlay or w-e
cash, you can do something crazy like 10 team huge ML parlay

I would take either big free play or small cash
$250 free play at BetPhoenix or $100 cash

If you buy a freeplay you bet and win you don't get the bet amount back

IE. buy a $50 FP put it on ECU +13 you win your balance is $49

Buy a $50 cash account bet $50 on ECU +13 your balance is $99

FP you do not get the risk amount back

I put in a six team parlay with a free play at betphoenix and it went through. I guess you can parlay more than a 3 teamer. Unless when I win it they tell me its no good which wouldn't shock me. And if I lose they will just keep it.
