Matsui is the WORST tipper this side of the Atlantic! He used to go to this hotel bar in the city and tip NOTHING on hundreds of dollars of drinks. Unfortunately, as a server, you cannot say anything to him about it. Now before you say he is Japanese and doesn't understand the tipping culture, I have dealt with MANY Japanese people who understand that tipping is proper. Another thing that is documented is his LOVE for porn. The guy has over 20,000 titles of porn in his house with a room to store it all. All around, this guy is a douche. I hope someone sticks the MVP trophy up his rectal cavity and dances around him like a banshee as he squeals in pain.

Casper i am in the service industry and have been for 14 years my friend. Tipping is not mandatory. It is based on service and quality. You are using this as an excuse to belittle the guy. Who gives a fukk if he doesnt tip he still won last night.

As far as drawing conclusions, let it be said that this has been done before on your watch. Canadians tip a hell of a lot better than Germans, African Americans, French and Mexicans.

Lakerboy, as I have been in the service industry longer than you and since I have DEALT with the man, I am not only justified with my statement, but qualified to assess my opinion. As far as tipping goes, I GAVE EXCELLENT SERVICE. What is his excuse now? If you work in the service industry as long as you said you have, you must never have bartended or served. No server or bartender would agree with your statement.

I honestly have no clue if Canadians tip or do not tip. I am only going off of what whiny, crybaby Americans in the service industry say.

I wish people didn't expect tips but many service industry employers bank on the fact that employees receive tips and pay extremely low wages, therefore in the US, tipping is pretty much expected. Which I disagree with. Bread and I tip very well and will even tip if we have poor service (although the tip does not exceed standards).

Willie, considering a tip is payment and EVERYONE has a different idea of what a drink is worth, their is no glass ceiling to what I deserve. As far as UNDERTIPPING goes, if you are saying that performing my duties commendably is not worth a couple of dollars, than you and I have to sit down and discuss the concept of the service biz. Oh FYI..I am still in Vegas..lol.
