    Arrow NORTHWESTERN is about as live a dog as you will find

    For those posters that are anti-IOWA, which seems like HUNDREDS on this board, and that state that Iowa is nothing but a fraud and overrated, they must be salivating at the bit for this Saturdays NW-IOWA match-up...................................... ................................





    NW gives Iowa fits........one only needs to look at the last few times these two teams have tangled in IOWA CITY.

    In fact, the last visits to KINNICK STADUIM by the Wildcats have resulted in NW pulling two huge upsets.........

    Last season at Kinnick, Iowa was an -8 favorite and lost 22-17 to the Wildcats,................. in 2006 at Kinnick, Iowa was a -20 favorite and lost 21-7!


    If Iowa wins again to push their record to 10-0, it very well could once again come in some dramatic fashion fitting of this years edition of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

    Northwestern is playing terrible football this season, what happened last year and in 2006 has no bearing on this weekends game. IMO

    Both teams are banged up. Iowa needs to be more focused considering where they are this late in the year. If they are, NW is in trouble even with Iowa's injuries. I can see NW coming into this game totally flat.

    Learned that from just watching ESPEN.COM with a preview of IA/NW game ,and they did not mention the QB being injured .

    That does seem like an awful lot of points to cover for me that is so banged up right now. I do think Iowa wins the game but covering this large spread might be hard for them to do this time around. Northwestern might have been owning Iowa in recent years but this year is a little different considering the injuries that Northwestern has right now. Iowa's defense is very good this year so that is why I think they do win the game.

    An update on Mike (Kafka), he’s feeling better today than he did yesterday and he was feeling better yesterday than he did Saturday. We expect him to go through some things in practice and hopefully a little bit more on Wednesday but at this point we expect Mike to play
