Default 10bet: another try to xxxx

My friend, who does not speak english, tried to withdraw quite small amount from 10bet, but they sent him lesser amount; after i wrote an email for him, he got no reply for repeated polite ask for rest of the money.

Stay away!

What's the currency of his Moneybookers account?
Or in other words: Are you sure, his Moneybookers account is running in USD?

I am absolutely sure, I advised him to use USD... but it also came into my mind that they mismatched EUR and USD. But it has nothing to do with the fact that they are riot bookies with awful CS.

Welcome to the SBR Forum, Flaxan.

Get that email to Bill Dozer ( assistance@sportsbookreview.com ), and I hope things get resolved.
Looks like they owe you $93.21. Unless there were some hidden fees for the withdrawal.

My guess at what has happened here. You are in Europe so
Moneybookers automatically designates the receiving bank account
at Moneybookers in Euros. So you withdraw from your $ 10bet account to Moneybookers. This is then converted to Euros in Moneybookers bank account, as your account is in $US it is then converted back from $US to from Euros. In other words you have paid 2 lots of exchange fees to convert your $ to $.
Sounds bizarre but this is what they do. I will try and dig out my correspondence as the same happened to me.
Your problem is with Moneybookers not 10bet

Here we go

Dear Mr J

We kindly inform you that the amount you have recieved differs from the amount you have sent due to the charges of the transferring banks and the multiple exchanges your funds have been through - from GBP to EUR to get to our International Bank account and then again to GBP to enter your Moneybookers account.

We hope you will find this information useful. Please do not hesitate to contact us again, for questions considering Moneybookers and its services, at any time. We will be delighted to be of assistance.

Best regards,
Moneybookers.com Team

Doesn't make complete sense, as my UK based USD Moneybookers account received the proper sums from everywhere I've withdrawn from.

I never got this resolved , so I cant use them any more.

There method works fine for most people as they will usually use the currency of their country of residence. The problem only arises if you specify a different currency (and even then not always - Brits can use Euros or GBP, and there are some other exceptions).

There is a page somewhere on the moneybookers site (cant find it at the moment) that lists the bank accounts it holds for each country. If they have a bank account in your country for the currency you are using, you are OK , if they dont that is when the problem arises.
So I would imagine for some Eastern European countries they will only use Euro and maybe the home currency.

My problem was the beginning of last year. I hold my Moneybookers account in GBP, as I live in Canada, I believe (cant be sure too long ago), I needed an account either in CAD or USD to avoid the problem.

BigLoser, in all honesty, you are losing the point. You can choose any currency for MB account that is available, but if you do domestic transfer they convert it to chosen curreny /in my country you can use ONLY CZK, not EUROS, USD, GBP/. Their exchange fees are low so after 2 conversions you lose less than 3%...

The problem here is for 95% that at accounting of 10bet, who tried to count USD as Euros and then did it then again, so original sum was multiplied by square of exchange rate. Some stupid numeric error... but they do not try to communicate...
