Hey Guys!

I was wondering if anyone here uses Euro as their currency in their Neteller and a given sportsbook account (eg: Pinnacle).

I was thinking about switching my account currency from USD to Euro but I am not sure if there would be any additional charges incurred regarding currency conversions.

For example, if I transfer a 1000 Euros from a Euro Neteller account to Pinnaclesports, where my account would also be in Euros, would I have a 1000 Euros deposited into my Pinnaclesports account, or would there be a conversion fee added? Also, would this be the same when transferring FROM Pinnaclesports to Neteller?

As i read it, it would cost you 2.75% of your current balance with Pinny.
But iam not sure.

Your current Pinnacle Sports account currency cannot be changed. You may open a new account by registering again and selecting your new currency of choice. Advise our Customer Service Department at csd@pinnaclesports.com of your old Customer ID and your new Customer ID. The funds in your current account will be converted and added to the new account. (Please see FAQ 18 for more information on currency conversions.)

Please be advised that the daily conversion rate used by Pinnacle Sports is obtained from www.oanda.com. The OANDA rate we use is the standard interbank rate. Pinnacle Sports does not receive this rate on currency exchanges with our bankers. Therefore, for transfers between accounts there will be a surcharge of 2.75% of the funds transferred. The conversion rate and that used by your CC company or any other money transferring agency may differ. Pinnacle Sports does not accept any responsibility for differences in exchange rates.

Thanks Yoshi, but I was wondering if there is any additional fee levied against transfers in Euro between Neteller and Pinnaclesports?

the easiest answer is to ask pinny CSD if it's okay to create a new account for Euros.

It had happened to me when I first created a pinny account.
I check on the wrong currency and ask if I can change currency.
They said the easier way is to just create another account

Yes you will get 1000 Euros - no deductions.

But why not go for sterling ? One side benefit of having an address outside US is that you can bet at UK books.

The problem for anyone whose home currency is US$ is that the British pound is at close to it's 10 year high against the dollar (which was approx 1.99 in Jan of this year) and the Euro is not far behind - although still some way off of it's peak of 1.37 in 2004.

Or to put it another way the dollar is riding low against those currencies.

Anybody converting now will do well if those trends continue and badly if they reverse.

Have to agree, looks like $ could be low at the moment against sterling and Euro. If your bank is fixed this shouldnt be too big an issue. If you are likely to keep making WDs it could be a problem

I think many sites would do well to offer accounts in other currencies. Sportingbet (Jazzette) sites don't support it, which is a shame as the only out is dollar cheques... I don't know if Jazz/ABC do, they didn't use to, but may email a request as I'd like to reopen there for MLB.
