its very surprising because the NBA has such a bad reputation when it comes to professionalism. all the former NFL players on nfl countdown and such just seem so terrible, cant pick winners without a spread its kinda sad actually. Going back to the NBA quickly, ESPN hired Allan Houston (who was my favorite knick of all time) was absolutely terrible as an analysts when he had the gig last season or 2 years ago
