I just made a mid four figure withdraw by check from Tradesports. I didn't pay for fedex, just did regular mail. Their site says it takes 2 weeks to arrive.

To complicate things, I changed my address in my profile the same day I asked for the withdraw. The amt of the withdraw is also about 90% of what's in my account.

Seems like these guys have plenty of room to slowplay me. They could ask me for verification of address, regular mail gives them room to slowpay also, etc. This may be the only time I've requested a check withdraw, although I may have one time a couple years back.

It seems that almost all top books are in slowpay mode, including matchbook. Since I haven't received my check yet, this will be an unbiased data point (typically people post to complain, while those who are paid feel no need to tell the world). Let's see what they do. I think if they pay me within my time frame, they should get more respect from you people who never seem to list this with top books.

N.B. On March 1st, TradeSports and InTrade will officially operate as separate businesses. This is basically what prompted me to get my money out now. I have to tell them by Feb 28th how much of my money I want to be transfered to InTrade to cover my positions I've got in political futures.

Follow up: I did a live chat with them yesterday (Wed, Feb 21st) to check on the status of the check. They said it was sent the prior day (Feb 20th) and should take 10 business days to reach me.

So what do you think (Tuesday, Feb 20th would count as 1 business day) how many days until it arrives?

Good book but I wouldnt send even $100 by regular mail. It will take 21 days IF it leaves today and nothing goes wrong. If I had to bet my life on it I'd say 23 days.

My last payment from TBX came from Ireland, they're not quite the third world mail service of offshore. I don't know where in the world Kornchoi is, and that would determine whether I'd go with A or B/C.

Technically, that Monday when I requested the payout was President's Day, so I'm not sure if it should be counted as a "business day" or not. Too bad I already stipulated to the terms above (i can see how you can run into problems setting up contracts like this).

SBR John, if you were a random joe I'd show you a 50-bid for A+B for size. However, you deal with this stuff for a living so it'd probably be a mistake to bet with you on anything even remotely related to the online gaming industry.

The check arrived at the first address I registered with them (my parents) on Saturday the 24th. That means it came in 5 days out (they advertise 2 weeks, they said in live chat 10 days). A wins. This book is the pimpest. I suggest you increase your props to this book. I'll let you know when the check clears my bank successfully.

I agree that they need a hike in ratings above some of the others right now which aren't doing so well with their customers.

check was drawn on a US bank account (had us routing numbers) and it cleared my bank successfully n just a few days. GL everyone.
