    Default Neteller (US Residents)

Has anybody been able to change their country of residence at Neteller? Curious if anyone has tried this with any success.

Not a chance. I tried when I moved to Costa Rica. It took an act of God back then I can only imagine how hard it would be now.

I think it is easier to open up a new account under the same name with a new address. I don't know if that will resolve those with money stuck in pending EFTs, but others may benefit.

I'll tell you when I find out something more.

cannot change your address to another country, impossible

Here is why, if you change to a UK address your IP has to be from the UK and funding can only be from a UK bank, its all linked together.

    No way around it.

So you are saying it is impossible to have your IP, address, and bank account all overseas?

What if you actually really do move?

Impossible is not the right word here.

To change your neteller like that, you are going to have to show them proof of residency. You will have to actually live in that country long enough to get bills from there.

It is definitely possible. The hard part is getting the residency to the other country.

When you change your adress to another country, the system automatically locks you out because your IP does not match your residency.

Of course if you live anywhwere but America everything is simple

If you can not figure out how to get a foreign address, ip, phone, ID, bank, etc you probably are not smart enough to have had a lot of money there anyways. This is not rocket science.

    1. Establish residence in Canada.
    2. Open bank account in Canada. Have statement mailed to new address. Use this as proof of address.
    3. Get a Canadian drivers license. You should be able to do a license exchange once in Canada. Use this as proof of residency.

Obviously going through all of this trouble would only be worth it if you have a relatively large balance stuck at neteller. But any reason why this wouldn't work? Anyone know someone who has looked into doing this?

Yes, I've seen reports of this working out just fine.

I tried chaning my address and my account was closed. I tried opening a new account and that account was closed as well. Neteller knows who is acessing their site as well as where it's being accessed from.

You must access neteller from an IP address in your registered country. THis is known fact.
