Default Cowboys will be in NFC title game

Im not doing a long write up crap. They have learned some things so far. They have gotten past the whole Philips should be canned crap. They will beat philly on the road and win in NY. Their linemen are the best in the game period. Think long and hard cause they are going to rebound from all the trouble and be in the title game. Just watch and see. I will bump this thread .

So Saints and Vikes fans get ready cause one of you is hosting the Cowboys in January. Mark it down in stone.

i don't think so. they will crumble when up against great teams.

Eagles might be the best team in the NFC this year

Not so fast! You still have Minnesota, New Orleans, Green Bay, Philadelphia and the Giants will be there at the end.

Easy there, friend. Let's not get carried away after they won two HOME games against INFERIOR opponents. It's only week 8 and they haven't gone thru their divisional games yet in which I believe they will be 2-4 or 3-3 at best. Let's get back to this in a month or so. Learn somethink from NYG 5-0 then 5-3....

Lakerboy, I am a cowboys fan and even I can't say that we have the best lineman in the NFL. When you have (happy feet) Adams on your line w/ multiple penalties in games on your team you will lose big games. I hope you are right but they still have the phillips thing going on in Big D. Just wait till they choke w/ pick 6 Romo...

No one is talking about them. They have a very good team. LAst year they took a step backwards from a great season the year before. Sometimes you need to take one step back before taking 2 forward. Phillips is still a concern. Im no cowboys fan but they are flying under the radar. When they beat the Eagles on sunday night people will stand up and take notice.

lol, dallas will not go 2-4 or 3-3 at best against divisional opponents.

First off they only have 5 divisional games left (2 against washington (both should be easy wins unless they fall apart)), (2 against philly (probably go 1-1 here - I don't see them losing both, but will be tough to win both)) and one left @ NY. So they should go 3-2 at worse or 4-1.

The first loss against NY they barely lost even though Romo played a horrible game. If Romo can keep up his good play without turning the ball over Dallas has a great shot.

NO is still probably the class of the NFC, with vikings next, and philly/dallas/gb/ny after that.

Dallas has found a star receiver in Miles Austin, has arguably the best TD in the league, 3 great RBs and a strong offensive line, so as long as Romo can keep up his strong play (8TD, 0Int over last 3 games) there offense should continue to be very strong.

Also, there defense is getting stronger with there young secondary picking up there play alongside Terence Newman. A pro bowl DT and probably the best linebacker in the league in Ware. Obviously they have been known to slow down in december/january. But I think they will be strong this year and have a good shot of making it to the NFC title game.

It will be fun to watch week 15 (@NO) and week 17 (Philly). I think they finish off the season 7-2 or 6-3 fighting out the divisional title with Philly (If NY keeps falling apart).

They are horrible on the road. Do you expect them to outscore Saints or Vikings on the road?

Now that is a better analysis. People are just assuming the cowboys will find a way to choke. I really believe they have turned the corner.

    They don't play the vikings

I see them going 1-1 against philly, 2-0 against washington, win against oakland at home, win against SD at home, and then 2-1 or 1-2 at GB, at NY, at NO. Obviously tough games, but I don't see them losing them all, especially since NY falling apart.

They got beat up on both sides of ball against Denver

Carolina could have easily beat them

And last but not least Giants beat them at home to break Jerry's old as heart

The Saints and Philly are the teams to beat

They would if they are to meet in playoffs. Cowboys have to go to Minneapolis or New Orleans to have a chance to see an NFC title game.

16-8 on the road with Romo starting, including the dropped extra point playoff loss to Seattle (0-2 additional with Brad Johnson, so 16-10 if you wanna count those)

    sounded good though I guess

Season is not halfway over, nothing near set in stone. Did anyone see the Giants losing three straight?

"You are what you're record says you are"

Opponents records for NFC teams with 5 or more wins (Atlanta could have 5 after tonight) -
Saints 20-24 - 45.4% (only winning teams beaten are Giants, Philly)
Dallas 20-28 - 41.6% (only winning team beaten is Atlanta)
Vikings 23-35 - 39.6% (only winning team beaten is Green Bay twice)
Eagles 19-31 - 38.0% (only winning team beaten is Giants)

As for "Romo is not good", ridiculous. He's not Top 5 but 32-16 starting record along with 2nd highest passer rating ever, get a grip.

Everybody's sweathearts, the Vikings and Saints (one ever?), have ONE each in the past decade I believe so what's the difference? All three look pretty sharp right now.

Hey buddy, hate to break it to ya, but in order for them to get to the title game, Tony Romo would have to win A playoff game.

Neither of those have happened in quite a while, and I don't see them happening too soon. Especially this year.

    GB....No chance
Phily/G-Men...only 1 of those teams will make playoffs

Here are the 6 NFC Teams to Make Playoffs
    1. NO Saints
    2. Dallas Cowboys
    3. Minnesota Vikings
    4. Zona/Seattle..Winner of West
    5. Falcons
    6. Giants/Phily

I don't see GB making it and see only 1 of 2 teams in NFC East making it...either Phily or G-Men, not both.

I'm a Dallas fan and not saying they will make playoffs or make championship gm or superbowl game, but they are a solid team and w/ proper game management and good coaching in big time games and situations, they can easily make it far

This week will be the test....good for Dallas, they dominated Falcons and Seattle at home....good, they were supposed to.

Now they play at Phily...HUGE GAME, they play well and win, whether it's dominate or close win, a win this week will put them in ELITE status is NFC and in NFL

Me personally, still think INDY COLTS are best team in NFL

Week 15..December 19th a Saturday Night Game...ON THE FUKKING NFL NETWORK

    Dallas Cowboys at NO Saints.

That will be a HUGE GAME...but FUKK it's on NFL NETWORK, they better show it, b/c that game may have potential for HUGE Ratings

NO Saints could potentially be undefeated and Dallas will be 9-4 or around there, big game Week 15

    1. Saints
    2. Vikings
    3. Eagles
    4. Cardinals
    5. Giants (Wild Card)
    6. Packers (Wild Card)

The Cowboys looked great against the Seahawks. Congrats! hahaha. Now watch them get stomped in prime time Sunday Night in Philly, against a real time.

    Goodnight.

I'm willing to bet any amount of money/points w-e that Dallas will make it farther than Packers this season.

Have you checked out the Vikings and Saints schedules the rest of the way? Odds are the Saints are going to be 15-1 or 14-2 and the Vikings 13-3 or 12-4 depending on if either team decides to tank week 17.

The Cowboys on the other hand, close with a much tough schedule. Unless they run the table...and they won't...they probably aren't getting home field. Which means they'll play a good wildcard team, then travel to one of these well rested dome teams. If they happen to make it by New Orleans/Minnesota the other dome team awaits.

Cowboys have a good team and could do it, but they certainly have a tough road ahead of them.

laker.........I am a life long Cowboys and Bucs fan. Dallas has all the pieces to make that run but Romo is still a very questionable quarterback. Until he actually wins a game that counts in a playoff role I just don't know guy. It's not like he doesn't have the talent he just seems to nut up. Almost like he is so scared of failing he can't succeed.

    BINGO!!!!!!
Homo has never won a big game
Every time he played in a big game the Cowboys lost and the main reason they lost was because of Romo, he has done it all, INTs, fumbles, ...

Some guys take longer than others.Heck Peyton Manning had always lost big games until he beat the pats. I just have this odd feeling the boys are flying under the radar and will make a run. I really believe when they win in philly on SNF people will stand up and take notice. Romo has some issues for sure but he is gaining in confidence and the win in philly will be huge. The boys haven't forgotten that game it left a bitter taste.
