Default Minnesota will win the Super Bowl, it's quite simple

They have a good defense. Winfield gets healthy as good as any.

They have two difference makers in Peterson and Harvin.

Favre will be able to Mark Rypien his way to a trophy. Even he can't **** this up.

Saints are the Bellamy Road of this future race. Public are stupid sheep.

Barring massive injuries, the NFL would love to give the championship to a dipshit Midwestern fan base.

They're playing as well as anyone right now, but I don't think they'll win the Super Bowl, and it isn't simple at all.

saints defense aint that bad. They are actually leading the league in Defensive TD's

I think New Orleans will beat them in the NFC championship game 59-56 in OT.

You are confusing variance with standard deviation kiddo, a common mathematical fallacy. Saints defense is opportunistic by virtue of their above-average offense. Affords them chances that others close to vest may not take. Surprised you would not understand this.

They should be a top choice.

Arizona getting there last year more evidence though that several teams still in the hunt.

New England and Minnesota were my thoughts heading into the season. Still very possible, IMO.

The team sure is good enough. We will see if Childress is a good enough coach. I am leaning towards no......

The Vikes really have no holes on the roster right now but lets see how the old man holds up in December-January! Favre was supposed to make another SB 2 yrs ago by rolling the Giants in Lambeau because he never loses in the cold...etc. etc...how did that work out? The Pack did score 23 points and put up 300 yards in the 2H today! That doesn't sound like a elite defense to me? They're deep and have a TON of talent though I give you that much!

your out of your mind. Brady / Manning / Roesthliserger would pick the Vikings D apart. I cant stress how weak the Vikings secondary is. If the Packers had any what of an offensive line, they would have beat Minnesota both games.

Vikings are vastly overrated. And i look forward to everyone praising them, and birthing them the NFC crown this week.

Both Minnesota and New Orleans have pretty favorable schedules the rest of the way. It will probably come down to whoever has home field in the playoffs.

Did you forget about New Orleans and Indianapolis could win the Super Bowl this year also. I think Minnesota is good enough no doubt but those other two are for sure contenders also. New Orleans and Minnesota would be a very good Championship game.

and if my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle. The Packers don't have an offensive line and they didn't win either game. Minnesota is going to be a tough out.

....Just like everyone was all over the Giants last year? Killer regular season, and they get stomped at home in their first playoff game.

Vikings vastly over-rated. As I said.

Okay let's see who have they beaten. GB(twice)Stl,Det,Cle,Sf(barely) and Bal(barely) and their one loss(pit). So in their one true test they lost. This is a very good football team with lots of options. They have 4 big problems which will haunt them later on.
    1:Brett Favre
    2:No secondary
    3:Petersen fumbles(too much for a prime player)
4:Minnesota Vikings(take a quick peak at their history-they lost a NFC championship game at home to the Atlanta Falcons-thats illegal)

Good luck Vikes fans cause history isn't on your side and we all know history repeats and rears it ugly head(Favre has been picked off)over and over.

I don't see Minny beating Pittsburgh or New England, which should represent the AFC in the Superbowl. If they can clinch the home field, then it will be pretty tough winning in Minny, unless a similar turf like team New Orleans shows up.

In the AFC I think it is going to be the Colts it appears. The Colts even win when they don't play well like they did today.

They are going to have a story book season and go out early in the playoffs.

Percy Harvin flips the field. The Vikings have more weapons than people realize.

As much as it's fun to talk about who plays in the Super Bowl on November 1, it's pretty much pointless. It's all about who is playing the best and who is at their healthiest down the stretch. It's also about what teams have the most big-game players -- guys who'll respond on the big stage.

So I do like the Vikings qualifications, I'll give you that.

But guess what? The Patriots or Colts are going to win the Super Bowl. Neither of those teams loses to the Vikings or the Saints.

My prediction right now: Pats/Vikings. Pats win.

    So why did you respond?
Cause that was just as stupid an answer as the thread starting statement.

Some of the doubters saying the vikings are overrated probably did not see the game against Pitt. They had a good shot at winning, but two fluke plays turned into 14 points for the steelers. Both of those, also happened in the red zone. I wouldn't use that game as an excuse for why the vikings are not that good.

On the flip side, the vikes could have easily lost their games against the Ravens and the 49ers.

The vikings have a well put together team. They are great on both sides of the line and they have very good offensive weapons. The weak point is obviously their secondary. Once Winfield is back and healthy however, look out.

alot can happen before Jan..... its the team that is playing best when the playoffs start that matters not who looks good now

if you are doing great now, there are mastermind coordinators and coaches scheming ways to beat you.

who was talking about Arizona in the first week of Nov last year?
