You really think Kobe is going to let the Lakers lose two in a row at home after his pitiful performance on Friday? I wouldn't bet against him today.

Took 'em ML as well. Also put a unit on them +8. Gl to ya!

Never in a million years. Forget Kobe, the refs and the NBA will not let the Lakers lose tonight. They gave Mark Cuban his gift Friday night to shut him and the Tim Donaghy whiners up. 2 early fouls on Kobe and Artest and it was over. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kobe have zero fouls by the time the 4Q starts.

Hawks will outscore Lakers. Too many weapons for Lakers to defend.

pavy, I have a great deal of respect for you, but what kind of reasoning is this? Are you kidding with this or are you serious?

Lakers have won 14 consecutive regular season home games on Sundays. usually wouldn't mean much, but they wear different colored jerseys...and i think kobe likes the sunday whites... http://www.nba.com/games/20060122/TORLAL/boxscore.html
don't see them dropping 2 straight home games.

I don't know how guys apply that kind of arithmetic to sports! Lakers will win tonight. Besides, Atlanta aren't a great road team.

Wow great analysis but the way the Lakers played Friday I can't knock on your pick.

So your reasoning for picking Lakers is Kobe won't let his team lose twice in a row and the refs will **** the Hawks?

Then the Lakers is a lock. I can't argue with facts.

I said nothing about Kobe. But yes, the refs will f*ck the Hawks because they f*cked the Lakers Friday night and can get away with it tonight.

Atlanta is a poor road team or at least they were last year...I threw a few on LAL ML/LAL un 196..I really dont see Atl coming in and stealing one, especially after the last game vs Dallas.

im on the lakers myself, did you guys see kobe on the sideline yelling at his teammates? not a bad yelling, but trying to fire them up, he is so upset with losing and i have a good feeling you will see kobe take things into his own hands offensively early, dont be suprised to see him score 40+ tonight and blow out atlanta. phil jackson and kobe will have everyone fired up and LA will be rocking and atlanta is going to shit themselves....lakers win by 15+

the only way atlanta stay within the spread is cause they are starting a road trip and will come out fired up and push a struggling lakers team to the limit. but hawks ml i wouldnt touch

This is not the Hawk team who struggled on the road the last couple years. The players are mature and they know the best way to kill an animal is when is wounded and will be highly motivated tonight to win against the team they will meet in June 2010.

kobe has too much pride to lose this outright. Last game his shots weren't dropping at all, he may have another bad night but I wouldn't count on it.

I use this strategy when capping every sport. I look at the teams and figure out who has the greatest chance to score more points or goals. Works all the time.

No opinion on total. I made another bet on Hawks 1H ML +200. Just in case the refs gift wrap the win for Kobe 2nd half. Gasol is out btw. Huge loss! I mean if Gasol was playing would the line be +15?

Atlanta is horrible on the road, but a Championship contender at home. I recommend never betting on this Jekyll/Hyde team when they travel out of the state of Georgia.
