Default Which books -if any- are on the verge of going A?

Just curious. I'm ok where I'm playing now, but an extra out wouldn't hurt.

Just got off the phone with a A rated book -in a country where gambling is legal-, that will continue to take US action, provided one little detail is taken care of. (I used to play here, but was told I could no longer do so some months ago). PM me if interested. I just won't reply if you have less than 1000 posts, because of the feds looking in here.

Can't think of a single book that is better today than 30 days ago but there are plenty that are worse.

Back in action with one of my favorite books.

For those who asked, it's not Pinnacle.

I want to share this with some of the long time posters, but unfortunately have to draw a line, as much as I don't like to, because any heat on this book could change things. Sorry about that.

Thats a good question. Out of all the B's and B+'s I think Matchbook would be the favorite to be the next book to break into the A group. Its a pretty short list.

I would think your ratings are dropping to the books rather than the books rising to the ratings.

Matchbook is no different today than it was 30 days ago unless I am missing something. Please let me know if I am.

Personally, matchbook rated high enough for me to play with them before all of this mess and still remains the same.

Matchbook is too new to be an A book in my opinion. They will make it in due course if they deserve to. A new broom sweeps good.

    SIA hmm.

Their money is good. I guess I see them as a very poorly run Bodog. This is a book with critical mass, very profitable, in business 7 years with a decent ownership group but they have struggled with providing basic customer service. They could be an A book if they could improve their cs.

Thanks John....SIA has always been something of an enigma. Kind of like that very bright student in a classroom is doing so poorly. We can only hope they get their act together.

    I think it's more like 10 years+,John.

How about Mansion as a future A ?

There's a lot of non-US serving books that could/should be A imo, but SBR has yet to release a rating guide that fairly rates books as they appeal to a European player.

I think SIA has the resources but is looking at a long climb. They reverted to playing the roll of judge and jury during disputes and failed to follow their own rules. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission, who is their neighbor in the same building, recently added stipulaitons making it harder for them to operate. Canada no longer looks like an option to host all parts of a book. They may be moving soon.

    Santo,

What are your ratings? Give us the non-US books?

Well in terms of safety, Virtually all the established UK books (Willliam Hill, Ladbrokes, Stan James) are at least as safe, if not more so than VIP, Nine etc. Sure they'll limit you, but so will VIP.

A lot of the Scandinavian, Maltese etc books are a grade too low IMO.. Nordicbet, Expekt etc..

IASBet are basically Canbet. Aussie books like Eskander, Bill Hurley aren't graded. Sportingbet's AU and UK operation are completely different regulatory to their offshore operations (.co.uk, .au) etc..

BTW: Your Sort by Ratings script gives an error and tells you to contact support@obout.com or similar.

Good post Santo. We are in the process of working the large Euro books into all of our content. You are quite correct and we are working hard at correcting this.

Doug, right. 10 years is probably closer. Man how time flys.

Buddy its possible that when the dust settles a new leadership group in terms of books will replace the old guard. SIA with their SwiftPay and other innovative payment solutions. Maybe the new leaders will not need great CS. Just maybe great payment processing will seperate the good from the average. Hope not but its very possible.

I think matchbook should at least be considered for the A category...
