I saw someone had a thread for mobile betting, Here is my advice

I got one of those smartphones that let you access Websites. Stay away. The screens are too small, even with the biggest smartphone screens, takes way to long to load a page even with EVDO, the internet service crashes all the time, also when you tell it to do something it does something else....stay away from Smartphones for Mobile Betting, you will get buried.

The best option to do is get a a super small compact laptop computer 11 inches or lowest at possible (make sure it has a PC card slot, because a lot of the small laptops there is nowhere to put the Verizon card) with Verizon nation wide evdo service. Blazing fast service and does not mess up as bad as those worthless smartphones. It is 100% worth it. No more messups or slow access times, EVDO for your laptop, you need a Verizon Wireless PC card. Only $50 plus $60 for unlimited service.

There are certain ones that have built in Wi-Fi access. Or you might be able to add a Wi-Fi to a PDA or smartphone. But it is somewhat complicated because the scrolling options of the website on a small screen which is nerve wrecking.

Laptops with EVDO I believe is the best way to go.

Not true.

When I was able to bet with Pinnacle I didnt have a problem getting my bets in, even right before closing. I use a Treo700p with Sprint PCS service, EVDO. Loaded fast and did what I told it to do.

Im sure some people would have a problem, in areas that service is not that great.

Yes the screens are small, but it wasnt a problem for me.

I dont need to worry about it anymore, as I have to live bet now. One thing I use it for is to get line comparisons between the books in Vegas.
