    Default is bets=cris trouble looming?

like i'm sure some of you i got burned by the betonsports debacle
i went with betcris which has been good for awhile
except that recently they said they could not take a check by phone anymore and if i wanted to make a deposit it would have to be by ** only
i was able to win some with the money i still had in there and havent made a deposit yet
    but now i'm leery
is this a sign of trouble looming?

    thanks

With Neteller and a number of other payment processors pulling out of the US market, there has been difficulites at almost all books. But CRIS remains one of the strongest books around. I think you will be fine playing with them.

BC is safe.....most sportsbooks, if not all, are no longer accepting e-checks from U.S. customers. If you are going to bet online you should look at BetCris as one of the Top 5/Top 8 books left...

Default Can still use ****, ************, debit cards, and gift cards

Can still use **** ************, debit cards, and gift cards at CRIS. If your CC doesn't work, you can buy **** gift cards at the supermarket, or stores in town. Can even get
these overseas which are even more likely to work.

The problem is not going to be funding sportsbook accounts, but making withdrawals. Funding can be done using overseas cards. Withdrawing is going to be more difficult if one insists on checks that have US routing numbers on them. These banks won't want to deal with US sportsbooks much longer.

If you have a foreign bank account and are willing to accept foreign checks, funding and withdrawing may be inconvenient but it won't ever be impossible.

Default Where to get **** perpaid debit cards

Well, I just got a bunch at my local supermarket and they work at nine.com, and cris.com no problem.

Foreign banks issue them. I saw one of them at gamingtunnel.com. This website offers a European IP address service, as well as a virtual **** DC from outsdie the U.S. Its called UnlinQ, and you will see it in the left hand margins. Unfortunately it comes with hefty fees.

The card that Intertops is offering is actually a **** DC that can only be used at Itops.

If you go on a trip outside of the U.S. you can buy these at the store - I'm sure folks will be selling them on EBAY soon - but there is isn't much demand for them yet, as **** gift cards sold by credit unions and sold in stores in the U.S. amazingly still work and they are completely anonymous.

I also bought some at a local check cashing store. There are several banks in my town that sell them. Some of them may not work at online gaming establishments, but out of the 10 or so I have tried, 8 of them work. The 2 that don't, I'll spend the money on gas and groceries, and not buy them again.

If your sportsbook takes ****, you can find a way to get them the funds, no problem.

They still charging $60 for $4900 only?

Their website still says $10k max but it was a lie last time I checked. I'm also not eligible for the free withdrawals because I'm not a losing player (i.e. I want to withdraw).

Somebody let me know if their withdrawals get any better. I'm still holding out but too depressed to keep checking.

CRIS has been in business longer than Microsoft. They are not going anywhere.

A sure sign of trouble is when agents don't want to deal with a sportsbook. None have any fear with Cris (and I am pretty good at hearing things).

They need to change their website:

    Maximum check withdrawal: $4900
    Minimum wire withdrawal: $10000

They have had plenty of time to change their website. They need to change it NOW.

That's because they're basing their business on deception right now. They want people to request the wrong amount so that they can (A) ignore it or (B) send a smaller amount and still charge the fees. They offer a "free payout" promotion, then blacklist anyone with a winning record from receiving one (but admit that they won't tell you that fact until you've already earned the points and try to cashout).

CRIS has never been #1 as far as customer support and honesty have been concerned (the incessant calling when you request it to stop is a good example), but they've really been acting sleazily and trying to pass it off as if it's in our best interests.

Do you know someone this has happened to? I know plenty of winning players against Cris - one is even a 6-figure winner. None have been "black-listed", although they have tweaked limits and payouts for wise guys (e.g. the "Special teaser odd" for professionals).

    knicknut,

while I agree with you that CRIS's CS needs to get better, I don't believe they are a book afraid of winners...

I meant blacklist from receiving free payouts. Sorry if that wasn't clear (I figured putting it in the same sentence implied that).

Your shilling for CRIS is getting pathetic. Those affiliate dollars sure must be precious these days.

It's well documented that CRIS cuts off all promotions to players that make positive expected value wagers with them.
