Default Monday Football Recap: 10/26 (SBR.tv Video)

A ton of faves and public teams covered in both college and pro football this past weekend, which usually means danger for the books. BookMaker took their share of lumps, but "scraped out a win" thanks to outright wins by Buffalo and Arizona in the NFL, as well as one of their sharper whales who had a slew of 6-figure losses in college football on Saturday.

In Oklahoma/Kansas, Kansas didn't look like the right side on the field, but the sharper money did favor them while the public bet Oklahoma up to -9, and won with that side. The controversial Texas A&M/Texas Tech game, which Dr. Bob gave out as a strong lean towards Texas A&M on his Friday call with Peter Loshak on SBR.tv, turned out to have a lot of sharp action on the side of Texas Tech as well.

And in the Iowa/Michigan St. game, the sharp action was opposing, and the market still seems to be having a hard time assessing Iowa.

In the NFL, the public won big with the Saints, as the sharper money was on Miami, as well as with Indianapolis, which continues to be a big public side that repeatedly covers, resulting in big losses for the books in general. The best game of the NFL card for the books was the Cardinals' outright win over the Giants.

The Monday night game between the Eagles and the Redskins is shaping up to be a classic Monday night betting scenario. The public has been all over the Eagles, pushing the line across the 7 and higher, while sharp money came in underneath on Washington when the line hit 7.5. The books will probably need the Redskins to cover, with a Philly win by 7 probably resulting in major losses for all books.
