between a cashier's check and a personal check?
I know this may sound like a dumb question to some, but I honestly don't know. Also, what is currently the best way to deposit money into a book?

Cashiers check is issued by the bank.

A personal check is when you have a checking account and you write a check from your checkbook from that account.
A cashiers check is more like a ***********, though you have to specify the recipient when you purchase it rather than filling it in later. So you would just go into a bank or whatever establishment issues the cashiers check, and purchase it like you would a ***********, telling them to whom you want it made out.

Pretty much Dave.
If your really worried about possibly drawing any red flags at all at your bank. You can always goto the post office, and get an international ***********. The reason I say this is because you can fill out "the pay to the order" part yourself avoiding any red flag type questions you might encounter from your bank.
