Default Central Michigan Dan Lafever is best Quaterback in College?

This guy is for real. 70% completion rate. Probably a first round one. Broke Ben Rothsinberger records for the MAC. Fever man is the real deal.

Doubt it, below average arm strength not sure he can make all the NFL throws be nice to see what he can do at the combine he doesnt look like anything special to me hes facing mac defenses. I hate when they compare this kid to Tim Tebow. watched him play Georgia last year didnt look so hot against an SEC defense. When it comes to the draft i'd be shocked if he wasnt a 2nd day guy at best.

Just saw this issue on ESPN with Kiper.

Kiper has Locker and Clausen as the top 2 QBs on his draft board that includes juniors.

    He had McCoy third.

lol, arm strength? Whatever happen to Andre Ware, Ryan Leaf, Joey Harringtona nd so many others.

I will like to see where this Dan Lafevour goes to? I seen him play against Michigan State upset and I was amazed how good this guy was.

funny things is these guys you name were all better college QBs then dan lafevour. You would have to be a retard to waste a first round pick on this kid he isnt a difference maker in the NFL. You dont think like a scout first thing they are going to see at the combine is his lack of arm strength and it matters in the NFL. outside of Chad pennington not many QBs playing with weak arms and Dan doesnt have a gun.

Definitely a big fan of him, but I'm not sure he makes it in the NFL. We will have to wait and see.

He'll be a 2nd day guy like i said 6-7 rounder maybe a free agent if he bombs the combine he'll probably ace the wonderlic seems like a bright kid... kid will look nice with the Hat,headset, and clipboard on the sidelines. Hes won a good chunk of $$ for me over the years i know his ability well.

    I like this guy

He shines in a shitty league though

Guy gets alot done with his legs and now has lots of NCAA experience

    I see him 3-5 rounder

    1. Can't stand when compared to Tebow ??

Tebow a great NFL QB prospect ??

    2. Where did you get the idea that LeFevour has such a weak arm?

Average is average, not exceptional or poor; below average is a much different
thing. LeFevour is a good prospect, mid-round draft choice, but certainly not a "franchise" quarterback

wont be a 6-7th rounder if it wasnt such a healthy qb class he would be a 2nd rounder. Since the draft has so many potential prospects from major schools he will drop a considerable amount but no later than 5.

    1) I never said Tebow was a NFL QB (I would take Tebow over Danny boy any day though) But Tebow is a heisman winner Tebow is special he would be a winner no matter what team he plays for. 2) If you read above i've followed him since he was the starter at Cmich can you prove me wrong.

But it is read up on the projections most have him from 6-7 rounder maybe a free agent alot of guys I call "bounce backs" that were at bigger programs like Ryan perillouex who was at LSU ahead of him. There are about 15 QBs ahead of Dan at this point. The highlighted is where you lost me .

Joe cox is rated ahead of Danny boy in some projections should tell you guys something about your ability to evaluate talent.

rarely do you see QB's fail because they dont have the physical traits, all the major busts are the mental cases that dont have the it factor. Jake has all the intangibles and under a west coast system with a few years to mature/learn the system i can see him being a kyle orton type but with some more skill

im still not sure about jake but hes a golden boy hes been the "guy" at all levels of football and he has the arm, size, mobility that will make the scouts drool. Could be a good pro depending on what system hes in. His Accuracy is getting better and sark has him making better decisions. He needs to come back next year for his Sr year imo but the $$$ waiting for him says otherwise.

Locker won't be a bust he could play defense in the NFL if he had to.

I believe anyone who wagers has followed him for the last 3.5 years at CMich.

Just haven't seen any NFLers/media criticizing his arm strength but now I see that it is just your opinion which you're entitled to. No thanks, won't try to "prove you wrong" lol...we'll just agree to disagree, his arm looks average or better to me...and apparently everyone else but you.

I guess time will tell. Hope he continues to help CMich cover at least.

    1) not everybody wagers/watches MAC games... strong arm or not hes not one of the first day QBs in the draft this is my point. If you would like we can make a points challenge close to draft time you get Dan first day i'll take dan 2nd day or free agent. Everybody agrees with you but me, deuce, and The guys that evaluate talent for a living that have Dan ranked 15-20 in the rank of top QBs available. Having most of the people in a sbr forum thread doesnt make you right, dont believe me look at most of the ingame threads alot of people on the same side losing.

    1. 1st day is only 1st and 2nd round - no thanks, I said mid round - read

    2. Don't care about it much anyway nor do I care about "most of the people in a sbr forum's" opinion - just thought you had somewhere credible backing up your statements about his arm strength that's all, I was wrong, and now you've changed the subject anyway to draft position. Have a great day.

What a ridiculous comment. You are the one that made the unsubstantiated statement, why should I care to prove you wrong?

http://cdsdraft.com/profile.php?id=1780 one of many websites that scout dan and talk about his weak arm... google 'Dan Lefevour weak arm'' tons of clips of guys/scouts talking about dans weak arm. so alot of people other than me see it, so now what do you have to say? points bet?

Doubt he makes it in the NFL. I wouldn't touch him or Tim Tebow in the draft until round 6 at the earliest.

As for the other guy mentioned in this thread, Jake Locker, I agree with the guy who said he'll be a bust. Just don't see him as a top pick like Stafford/Sanchez from last year. Just don't think he's a NFL QB. Nice athlete no doubt, just not someone I'd be interested in.

As for the best NFL prospect at QB in college, that is Barkley and Mallet. Those two are by far the best NFL prospects at the QB position. Both will be top selections when the enter the draft.

Barkley is going to be big time but i hope he stays 4 years (i know its not going to happen but i can hope)
