Default The Big Names At SBR Not Doing Well In Contests

I a disappointed, guy far down on leaderboards. A few of us have picked up some points but not many. The majority of guys winning are guys I never heard of.

Maybe we are not who we think we are as far as handicapping..

contest are so dumb and prove NOTHING..they are all crapshoots. i've seen contests where a guy would end +112 units over a full season and then every guy would say, wow, what a great capper this guy is..and then the following year, he ends up in last place down 114 units..

some guy will go 34-9 and win a contest, then next contest, you look at the standings and he's 11-39... that's what contests are all about. they are dumb and prove nothing.

unless you are using stale lines, every contest player will end up very very close to 50% over 100+ contests. all you're hoping is to win a bunch of them and then come in last in a bunch of them too. you do not want to always end up in the middle of the pack cause even the middle of the pack guys will end up with same winning % as the guys that won 4 contests in 100 total contests..

Nicky your argument is valid but as you should know, everything you said applies to any level of capping.

You are likely to go on streaks both good and bad, you are likely to end up near 50%.

Contests have just as much cred as capping......which is very very little.

Contests are dumb, posters who win with capping are losers, having a record of 500 or more posted plays at SBR means nothing, you are a square if you are betting chalk and getting payouts..

Where did I hear this before..

    Hmm..

Nicky seems to think everything is dumv, except beating the closing number of course. With sbr picks you are no longer betting stale lines in contests. Therefore nicky cant win by betting stale numbers so he wont participate.

i completely disagree, yes the people who usually win the contests are just riding extreme hot streaks, but good cappers are good cappers a contest isnt going to make you worse and if your good youll be toward the top, bottom line

5th in rebate wager contest.. 31st currently in BTP.. But i'm not a big name here yet.. Maybe 1 day, i can be an internet celebrity.. Can't wait til the day i can call quality cappers animal names, lose an avitar challenge, and head next door.. Wait, now that i think about it, kinda glad i have a low profile..

I worked my up from the mid 300's to 92nd in BTP. Its tough to find 4 solid picks at the start of the tourney. Just have to be a bit lucky. But coming down the back stretch we should begin to see the cappers make a move.

I enter contests now because of SBR picks as it is so easy and everything automated. I never entered before because drunk mods made too many mistakes on grading, ect.
