Default If MVP voting were held today, Brett Favre would finish 2nd behind Kyle Orton

Everyone expected Vikings to be a SB team when Favre signed.

But NO ONE expected the Broncos to be undefeated and a SB contender when Kyle Orton became their QB.

By the way, Clark grew up in Livermore, IOWA.......about 60 miles north of Kyle Ortons hometown of Ankeny, IOWA.

Tremendous football talent in Iowa these days.

    Nah.

Colts have not beaten a single team with a winning record.

Broncos have beaten 3 teams with a winning record.

    Orton >>>>>>>>>>>> Peyton

I would highly regard Drew Brees being in this conversation.

Brees went two games without throwing a TD so he's no longer in the MVP conversation.

this award hasnt meant much since 2002 cause none of those guys won the real award- the superbowl

Orton would be comeback player of the year if they even have that award, but MVP right now is between two guys; Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.

I love Ortons game and i love what the Broncos have, especially the coaching staff, but Peyton and Brees are the ones putting up massive stats and neither guy has lost a game yet. They are far ahead of everyone else for MVP, and if Brady keeps playing like he did on the weekend he'll join them in the discussion.

Right now favorite is Manning, runner up is Brees. No question about it.

Right now FAVRE would win it, but CLARK probably should be the winner of the award at this time.

FAVRE would get a ton of sentimental votes and is a media darling and this is why he would be the winner at this time.

Right now, 50 players are in contention for the award, so let's put this on the backburner until week 12.

Clark had one big game and only has a few TD's

dozens upon dozens of players have had bigger impact on their teams directly scoring or keeping opponents from scoring. and that is about all the voters will look at. They don't care about versatility, locker room presence, blocking ect.

    get real

at the end of the year Clark will have about 800 receptions for 900 yards and 8 tds

nice TE stats but not an MVP by the stretch of anyone's imagination...

unless Clark happened to go to the same HS as you

All these guys have someone to support them..

    Patrick Willis has NO ONE..

If the King starts a team tomorrow.. he takes WILLIS.. the REAL MVP...

Ignore Fishhead. He's long had a love affair with Clark, for obvious reasons.

Too much emphasis on how many games/super bowls a QB wins..... It's a TEAM game. Anyone who played knows how important lineman are. That's not to say one qb can't be superior to others , but they don't win games/titles (or MVPs) alone.

I hate ESPNs "impact" player schtik. The real and important impacts occur on every play in the trenches. The networks no longer can find the time to even tell us the names of starting players.

This happened on the telecast of the Pitt/Cleve game Sunday. The announcer got all excited about an excellent block by "number 78". They showed a replay - it was excellent and created a big gain. All we got from the tv team was "78".They didn't think to find out and mention his name.
