Here's my question: Will jjgold still want to be left out of the poster of the year competition?

He'll basically be turning this awesome prize down because I can't see any way he wouldn't make the top 8.

What I'm trying to say is, how can you say this will be an easy win when you have 277 total posts? I post more than that in a week sometimes and I'm not a power poster by any means. I was trying to say that you have to be speaking for or about someone else (I was implying it was probably your other ID that has many more posts), that's all.

I'd like to see bracket style. Winner advances, start with 64 and go on down

The plan is to do it with the top 16. 32 one on one contests would clutter up the board too much.

What we could do is take the top 63 and put them into three 21 man polls (21 options is the most possible for a poll). Then from there we could do a bracket style contest with the top 16. That's fine with me, it isn't that much more work. If everyone wants that, we can do it.

What does everyone want to do? Considering the prizes on the line it's worth the extra work to get it to get it all right, imho.

how are we deciding top 16

I plan to go directly from the nomination thread to the sweet 16. You saw the nomination thread for the worst poster of the year where everybody gets electoral votes and can use them any way they want. I planned to just take the top 16 from that voting process and start the bracket contest.

However, if people want to we could take the top 63 from the nomination thread and put them into three 21 man polls (21 options is the most possible for a poll). Exactly, that's the first step. The worst poster contest isn't done. Once that thread gets to the tenth page of threads I'll start the first round match-ups for the elite eight competition.

I'll keep the thread for nominations for poster of the year going for a long time, maybe two weeks or so. I hope SBR pins it because they're supporting this contest and everyone should have a chance to vote.

I love it.. it's actually cute.. i can't believe posters would go through all that work to just have more votes. i know off hand 12 posters who i can put my whole mortgage, and life savings that have cheated.. i won't mention who, but we know, jj.. jj, my hand to god, i did NOT cheat at all. my votes were legitimate, not even 1 vote of mine was cheated.. and i'm sure so were yours..

i just want to say that of my 27 votes of you actual posters that voted for me,, i really wanna say thank you and i appreciate it, cause i swear to god, i did NOT create any fake accts..

is there a way willie bee can figure out how many new accts have been created at sbr in the last 36 hrs.. i will bet record #'s of sign ups..

The contest is not just for those handful that win its entertainment for the rest of us. Taking JJ out is cool we can make him the honorary champ anyway.
