I have only used pinny so if some of you would venture an opinion on Bet Jamaica, I would appreciate it. I contacted them a few days ago and they are still opening accounts for US players. The juice is rotten next to pinny but everything else there seems to be just fine. Anything I should be concerned with -- other than the current state of gambling with off-shore books?

I really don't think it's fair comparing every other book to Pinnacle IMO. If you like the lower vig then might I suggest cascade, with there nickel lines.

Your not going to have any issues with BetJM in regards to payouts. However, you might want to deposit with them via a cashiers check/international *********** though to avoid any problems given the current situation with the online processors to U.S. customers right now.

Thanks BigBoy... I would probably be depositing via FedEx (although I am just a bit confused there... they say they accept FedEx cashier's checks, is that a cashiers check I purchase from FedEx or do they mean using FedEx to send the cashiers check I obtain at my bank?).

I will check out Cascade and would appreciate any other comments.

Get the cashiers check from the bank pr go to the post office and get an internation ***********. Then send it to BetJM via the Fedex overnight service.

Please note ** Call BetJM first in order to make sure who you need to make the check out too before you send it to them.

I don't know if this would apply to you but there is a possible downside to playing at BetJam. If you're a big money advantage player, you could find yourself being severely restricted. You'll start finding a long delay when you go to confirm your bets and, more often than not, they will reject your bet and post a new, worse line.

I had the same experience as Mudcat as BJ practically pushed me to The Greek. So those of you that want the MLB dime lines at BJ, don't win so much!

I have an account with both BetJamaica and TheGreek, I think the greek is quicker about getting lines up for the following day. Bet Jamaica has a lower mininum bet so I believe that they cater to the players that just enjoy it for recreational purposes. I have had a very good experience with the greek with getting withdrawals from them for having football winnings in the past. I haven't had a withdrawal yet from Bet Jamaica but I think that they will be just as good as the greek.

Thanks for all of your replies -- all of your input has been very helpful. I am what you would call a recreational bettor, so it does appear that BJ would be a good fit for me. Maybe I should also check out Greek but for my type of wagering I think I have already found the right book.
