I don't think SBR will be closing anytime soon Sam. I feel it all depends on if the who's the one thats not complying with the new laws at the time the DOJ starts raiding gaming portals.

I'm not an expert, but I do not think the gov't will do anything to the gambling portals that simply link to sportsbooks and accept advertising dollars. I really don't think they are going to do a thing to the one's who use non-US servers and are businesses outside of the US like covers, mw, and eog. Furthermore, the gov't has never arrested any portal owner or media agency for displaying ads. They have used intimidation tactics to scare companies like Google, Yahoo, and Sporting News to stop taking ads and pay fines to avoid prosecution, but I don't think they will actually arrest and prosecute any portal owner who refuses to obey their threats. My 2 cents. Only the strong will survive. The weak will fold like a cheap suit to the government's scare tactics.

I see your points Whitecap. However, I have this something very similar happen in another industries a few years back, and site owners did face jail time over it. If a site owner obeys the laws they should be fine.

All the other forums are really slow and boring right now,imagine when it's there is only baseball and NBA? it will only get worse..

I think a lot of peoples money is tied up in NT right now, and that could be a big part of the reason traffic is down on the forums.
