How often do you see a horse break at the half on a 1/2 mile track as badly as he did and just disappear off the face of the earth and then suddenly roar 4 wide and thunder down the track to take 2nd. Unfreakinreal.

#6 Winchester Hibrass

This was his first start after a qualifer. He got undercut at the start and settled in last place and there were HUGE gaps in the line. I think the leader had 8 on the 2nd place horse and there were probably 10+ lengths between the 3rd and 4th place sitter. He had to use his 'last move' past the half just to get into contention. Watch and tell me what you think also.

Watched it ... Wacky race ... Last half was 1:03 which made him look good closing ... Certainly one to watch ... I can't get too excited by what goes on at Northfield ... Too many things to factor in plus a lot of luck and good trips needed.

yep I live 30 minutes from the track and have been there ahem 100s of times. You go 2-3 wide and you lose 5+ lengths. I really prefer meadowlands. Did you watch that Big Mac race also and what did you think of it? Even though I played Big Mac heavily I did box him up in exactas with the winner and tries all over the place. The #1 and #5 were open horses running against claimers. a real joke.
