Default Neteller not issuing cards to US anymore

I just got off the phone with them again, and as of today they arent issuing cards to US customers anymore. Mine is pending, so she said I may still recieve it. Told me I can request a check, but said they had no time frame of how long it would take.

She suggested doing a peer to peer transfer, and letting them get the $ for me. Then she suggested using an online merchant, but I cant find any, other than a coffee shop.

Has anyone here done the peer to peer transfer in the US?Then been able to get their $ that way.

Pretty sure that they will not allow US to do peer to peer transfers anymore.

Also heard that they will not even let you use the atm cards anymore!!!

I hope this shit isn't true.

I'm having a sick feeling that we will not see our cash.
Damn I hope I am wrong about all of this, but I'm usually dead on.

This is from the site!!!!

Why can’t I use my Gold NETELLER Card anymore?

The Gold NETELLER Card is not available as a withdrawal option at this time.

We are doing our best to restore our withdrawal options but don't know how long this will take. In the meantime your funds are safely maintained in trust accounts. We will communicate any updates as soon as possible.

Why can’t I get a Gold NETELLER Card anymore?

We are temporarily not issuing Gold NETELLER Cards. The Gold NETELLER Card is not available as a withdrawal option at this time.

To the best of my knowledge, peer-to-peer still works from a U.S. account to a non-U.S. account.

But people, be careful with this. It's my opinion that you're still more likely to get screwed soliciting a non-U.S. Neteller customer to do this for you than you are to get screwed by Neteller. If you are in the fortunate position of having a close relative or lifelong friend who can do this for you, I'd say go for it, but outside of that I'd be VERY cautious.

I guess instead of taking a chance at losing the $ I have in neteller, I could go to the one merchant I found that takes neteller and buy about $2k worth of coffee or tea. What a shame, Im with you the more this plays out the more i think we are not going to see a dime.

IMO, they are buying time and will file bankruptcy, and not have to pay anyone.Or possibly take the company back to a private company and get around paying that way.

Does this change affect non-US members?

Yes. NETELLER is currently unable to transact with USD bank accounts, regardless of the location of the member. Please contact us to learn more.

The Neteller card used a US bank.

According to Neteller site, the last way to move money out of your account is currently peer-to-peer.

Yes, I am able to see Neteller Card as a withdrawal option. And I am able to process a withdrawal.

I assume you guys are not even seeing Neteller Card as a withdrawal option?

Why does mine still work I wonder?

It's still listed as a withdrawal option, but I get an error when I try to make a withdrawal via this method. Are you in the US CA_Bettor06?

Yes I'm in the US.

I can confirm it doesn't work now. I requested Neteller Card payout over an hour ago. It was accepted without errors but it's been "pending" since then and the money has not shown up on my card balance. It never takes that long. So looks like it really won't go through afterall.

Hopefully all of our EFTs will be processed soon...

Some of this stuff is wild speculation. If neteller were buying time so it could go bankrupt and steal all our money, why aren't intl customers having problems with their EFTs? Wouldn't neteller be screwing with everyone right now, not just Americans? Although the USA is a healthy chunk of their revenue, they make significant cash internationally. I don't think its that simple for a publicly traded company to just go bankrupt and screw everyone over. If you believe neteller, our money is in segregated accounts and there is zero risk of default. Calm the hell down. Everyone will get their money once neteller figures out how to give it to us.

and don't be stupid and transfer your neteller money to some intl stranger, hoping they'll cut your check. Don't blow all your cash on some idiot coffee merchant either. Give this a few days, neteller will figure things out and you'll see that all this pathetic worrying and whining will have been the product of your paranoia. Neteller is vastly safer and more reputable than even some of these "A+" sportsbooks like Bodog. After all, it is indeed publicly traded and relatively transparent. Calm.

I agree with you regarding "staying calm" but Neteller's being publicly-traded does not assume it's safety or our safety. Please check-out the prices of the gaming/casino/sportsbooks-related stocks and you should be able to know that their sudden price-drop clearly shows that people think that the "stock" is not safe that is why they sold out.

I don't share your optimism.
Neteller is not FDIC insured.
It is a Business not a Bank!!

Any idea how many businesses fail and go up??

My gut is they will file for the big "B"

They arent publically traded in the USA,and dont have to follow the SEC rules US companies do. The stock price is $2.83 a share on the UK board. Dont think for a second that they couldnt just fold up shop and declare bk.Declaring bk wouldnt stop them from doing business, it would just freeze the assets, till the creditors/investment companies who own Netellers debt get paid . Come on face it, all they were is a money moving operation for online casinos/books. There are no online merchants besides the casinos.

I dont fell like digging up the article, but Bloomberg claimed that 76% of their 2006 clients (640,071) are US based. So that puts about 500,000 US clients with $ needing to be withdrawn. I personally would feel better with my $2k sitting in my cris account. Im still kicking my ass for transfering half out on the 10th, thinking it was safe in Neteller.

Hey I hope Im dead wrong here, but it seems strange to me that all the sudden on a Saturday they stop processing cards and withdrawl requests. Im betting there is news on Monday, and its not news we are going to like.

This is getting crazier every day. I don't know where the hell to put my money anymore. Anyway, if I was forced to keep my money offshore, my priority would be:

1. Any of the huge European faced books that accept NETeller (eg. Centrebet)
2. Pinnacle
3. Mansion
4. NETeller

I think the fact Neteller is going to want to continue operating for the rest of the world. That they actually had/have a legitimate business were the money exists and is no risk of losing betting. And the fact their corporate officers don't want to go to jail, are all factors that will hopefully make them pay eventually.

I am in the UK, and my Neteller card doesnt work either.
Even though they say the changes are only affecting US members, they are not !
Im guessing that across the globe, no-one can get hold of there cash through Neteller.
Sorry, its not good news is it ?
