    Dr. Bob,

Can you please explain the unexpected line movement in Idaho vs. Hawaii team without their starting Qb, coming off a drubbing in Hawaii? Is Idaho a play at -10 or is this a no bet in your eyes?

    Thanks,

    Dr. Bob,

It seems impossible to understand at times but here are a few questions for you.

Indy vs. Titans: Indy 3rd and 5 at the Titans Goal Line. Peyton Throws a pass to Reggie Wayne who wanted nothing to do with the ball. Catching it puts the game over the Total.

Boise vs. Tulsa: 1 TD away from a cover on the over and the entire second half Boise ran the clock with no interest in scoring again in the 4th.

Texas Tech vs. New Mexico: Extra point at the end of the game covers the second half TT -14. He misses it.

I could go on and on with examples this year.......but do teams (or coaches) get a "Vegas Pep Talk" at halftime if they are close to hitting the spread or the Over?

Is there "Line Shaving" going on in the NCAA and NFL? It seems at times that if the public is heavy on one side......(usually the right one until the end of the game)......the team with the "Public Money" bet on them seems uninterested in playing football and more interested in just running the clock out.

Just wondering if this goes on..........and if so..........is there a way for us as bettors to know how to spot this in the future to avoid this trap.

    Dr Bob,

I am strongly favouring the GB/Det over 48, yet news of no Stafford or Johnson has brought the line down a half point to 47.5. What impact will the loss of those two key players have on Detroit's ability to score and take this game over the total?

    Thanks, Smogs

    Dr. Bob,

I don't know if you remember April 26th 2009 but it a date forever etched in my memory. Some people spent the day pondering the 23rd anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in the Soviet Union. Others celebrated the 45 year birthday of Tanganyika and Zanzibar being merged to form Tanzania. But I remember the baseball game between Cincinnati and Atlanta.

And my question? Brock Landers KNEW the total would go over 9.5. How did he KNOW?

    Thanks, Taco

    Dr. Bob,
What is that shiny spot on top of Loshacks head?
Is it the effects of JJ pattern baldness setting in?
I tried watching the last video but the glare glistening off Loshacks head blinded me.

Dr. Bob, has it been true in your experience that the expected value you find with your computer handicapping in college football games has more closely mirrored actual results than it has with the NFL?

Hi Dr. Bob....thanks for your time. Has your handicapping math model changed much over the past couple of years? How and why?

    cheers

    Dr. Bob,

I made it as far as Algebra. Geometry kicked my butt and I've not been much of a numbers guy since. Is there an easier way to decipher all these numbers? I've got a SEVERE headache.

Justin7 has USC at a -13.5 favorite, yet it seems that sharp money came in early on Notre Dame at +11 or +10.5

Dr. Bob: Does your model line up with Justin's prediction or the Monday night sharps?

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions! I'm sure you don't want to discuss your model too much (trade secrets and all), but I have a few questions on how it is used...

How much do you rely on your math model?
Is it used as another tool that lets you form a better opinion of the game, or are there instances where the model is so far off what the line is that you bet using the math model results alone?

I see a lot of touts having a great deal of success with college football totals this season. They appear to be very beatable. How come you have very few totals as selections?

ask dr bob why in his free analysis, he often says both teams have over a 50% chance to cover the game, thus playing both sides of the fence
