an interesting thought 'across the street'

Neteller is 'slow' on EFTs because they rather make the $$ on fees when their DC is used.

that makes sense. Most people who are withdrawing are taking their money and never coming back as customers, Neteller might as well take their time in paying.

Can you give a link, a url, a source, some idea of where you "heard" this?

Otherwise, it's not of much value.

The amount they may gain from the transactions is worth much less than their reputation being tarnished right now. They cannot do any eft's because every possible way to fund them in the US is being blocked. They still plan on being a large player worldwide and want to make as few enemies as possible here. FWIW, I'm taking everything out through the card, max w/d at atms is 800...total fees of around 5 dollars per transaction. This means I'm paying around 0.6 pct to get my money, I can live with that. Remember that the NT card goes through a US bank that is charging them per customer per transaction.

Neteller has ZERO incentive to rectify the problems quickly. Everyday they don't process the EFT's, is anohter day they earn interest on our money. EVen with interest rates as low as they are, when you are talking about 10's of millions of dollars that they likely owe, the daily interest is considerable.

Everytime someone uses the neteller ATM card, neteller makes money. Not all the money goes to Netelelr, but osme of it certianly does. If neteller were an h0onest compnay, they would waive the atm card fees for US residents. But they aren't honorable. They're scum, who are trying to take advanatge of a bad situation.

My first EFT is now listed not as Pending but as Rejected outright. Looks like we may have to pay them their fees even if we were otherwise willing to wait.

    Sigh.

I don't think that is true. The EFTs are only being blocked right now by the money processors, which Neteller is, not the US banks. All the foreign money processors dropped out by themselves. Neteller has no excuse not to be producing this EFts in bulk.

The processors dropped out in large part because the US banks decided not to do business with them any more

I wonder how long this card will be around. The one thing they have going for them is they are only used to bring money in.

Default Prediction: Neteller will be gone a year from now

I don't think this service can survive, for anyone, U.S. or otherwise.

They will be gone a year from now.

Their entire growth was based on the U.S. market. And their fall will be as well. As far as world growth goes, noone is going to deal with a service that is killing their reputation as fast as this outfit is.

Just thankful for this board, which had the Neteller news right away, enabling players to move money from Neteller into betting accounts. I feel terrible for people with a lot of money in Neteller.

When something like this happens, it's amazing how quickly a foreign company justifies their lack of integrity by blaming the US people for the actions of the US government. Neteller hasn't said as much, but WWTS certainly did to me. (the 'why blame us, you elected that government' angle.)

Where is organized crime when you need it?
Oh wait, it has become our government.

I can ony wish that my pending (since 15th) gets rejected, because I have a good friend in Canada, but F'n neteller customer service wouldn't guarantee they could reverse my pending withdrawals since they were a while back- that would be total bull- it's my last hope, .. I will call them daily until they reverse my pending status..

Jesus Christ. Neteller can survive just fine without the United States. Remember, the have been working for months to diversify their business and branch out into several other countries and they move millions upon millions of dollars overseas. It's typical American pinheadedness to talk like the US is the only market in the entire world. It's not the end of the world.

There is no possible reason for neteller to plot to screw you over. If they were planning on stealing your money like so many of you are bleating, then why did they let you withdraw money with the ATM card for weeks? Why haven't they frozen foreign accounts too? This is like a mass hysteria that has spiraled out of control and spawns stupid rumor upon rumor. Neteller is not going bankrupt, Neteller will not stiff you. Give those poor pathetic british bastards a break. It is in their best interest to pay every last american customer.
