    Default Question for Mods: Cascade

Does the new stand alone status affect your rating. Is my money safe? I am sure alot of others cannot take another hit. These last couple of weeks have given me alot of stress. Money in NT cant get it out. Lost some in BOS. Took hits years ago on Aces, alladin, blue marlin......I can't take another hit. It may cause me to get on a plane and handle things myself. I don't want to hear the words..standup,honorable..etc... I want to know one thing...Without there backer is my money still safe.

Apparantly they are processing withdrawals and deposits as normal.

I know of a couple of people who just got paid overseas thru Neteller.

Great past record, should be fine. As safe as any other place IMO.

Where did you hear about Cascade losing its backer? I checked SBR and a couple other forums and didn't find anything on it.

    Default Cascade

I have a small amount of money with Cascade. I've only been with them about three months. Happy with them except for two things: 1. In the NBA games are off the board too often, especially when every other book is taking bets and 2. their site is down too often. For example, it was down last night and still down as of this post. In this environment, it can't help but make me nervous.

I just went in and made a bet.

It's been working fine for me last night and this morning.

I think it depends on your service to a large extent.

They moved offices. You used to be able to log into cacade and delmar. Now Both sites are seperate. Why did cascade move offices now. Kinda wierd. Plus I was told that delmar is no longer backing them from a very reliable source. In this climate right now I just want to know what is going on. These sites make money with the books, so I take everything here with a grain of salt. Hoping another poster knows something. It could very well be it was an amicable split..but i highly doubt it.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting through to Cascade today, so much so that it has prevented me from making plays. Anyone else? I can log in, but only barely and can't get through the betting process.

Cascade will be part of the Horizon/Atlas Hosting Group as of tomorrow. You will see a platform change from ASI to BLR. Lenny is still managing Cascade and assures us that -105 will always be available online.

Thanks for the response. But you didn't answer the question. But thanks anyway..I expected as much. Us players have to do our own due dillegence in such matters. But thanks anyway.

I think bigdog answered it clearly.sorry, bud I got clipped good by BOS too but I see in this forum, the guy showing the most passion in his post is usually giving the straight shit.

If you can't afford to get stiffed (as you put it), then I wouldn't be playing at any book at this point.

If you had to play at one I wouldn't make Cascade top five in this environment.

Sorry Jelly. Was still on the phone inquiring but wanted to tell you what I could before your 4th post. No, Cascade is no longer backed by Del mar. They are moving offices, website, and software.

SBR has recently advised players to expect a shakeup and to stay with books rated at a minimum of A-. But, I have no reason for you to be concerned about your funds at Cascade. Horizon, which woud have been upgraded last week had there not been a industry wide issues, has always backed the books they service as well. We plan to speak with the people there shortly. If you wanted to spread your money to Horizon, it will likely be an option.

My balance is showing as $0 at the 'new' Cascade rather then the $500+ it should be

Phoned them & they are apparently porting all balances over in the next hour or so.

Customer Service. 1-877-924-2233. Remember you have to put a 'T' in front of your old A/c number now to login.

My balance here is now correct

Cascade benefited from its previous relationship by having direct access to what huge bettors were playing and linesmen that are some of the best in the business. They had a lot of confidence in the numbers. So, some players may not be able to get as much down online on things like NBA totals.

Cascade did its own banking and didn't have many options for post-up guys. Even its Neteller was stuck in the early days where transfers had to be done from Neteller's site. If this happened a few weeks ago it would seem like a good fit. Atlas brings in line talent and Cascade would have inherited a full banking menu and post-up service staff. As of right now the entire industry is in a transition mode.

If the transition is a sign of how the day to dat stuff will go, they are off to a good start. There are usually complaints when a book switches software.
