Will these two fine men be judged by the color of their skin or by the content of their character?

There both great coaches, and shouldn't be judged by race. However, you know the media will blow it out of porportion though.

If it wasn't this it would have been the Katrina stuff for two weeks. I guess pick your posion sorta speak.

Both of them are excellent coaches, I know they are good friends too. I think it is a great story for the Super Bowl to have such good friends in the Super Bowl as coaches. I believe it is going to be a good game between them.

    Excellent point.
Unfortunately, we haven't yet approached the point where color doesn't matter. To have two great coaching friends in the SB is what it's all about.

The racial stuff annoys me. Making such a big deal about it I think only diminishes the accomplishment. They're both excellent coaches whether they be black, blue, purple or yellow. If the goal is truely to be a color blind society, why emphasize it so much?

I have no problem with the media telling this Superbowl story. Not to tell it would be stranger. Like electing a black president and not even mentioning the fact.

Racism is a big problem in this country. The different cultures and races pretty much stay to themselves within this so-called melting pot of the US. Very little melting going on. I got a couple of friends who moved here from South Africa, and both agree that the US is more racist than South-Africa ever was. In Europe you'll see a lot of whites and blacks intermarrying. I don't know one black-white couple here. Weirdest thing.

i think it's lame to make such a big story of 2 black head coaches in the SB

it implies that they are less capable of doing it

Not at all. Typical white reverse discrimination. Afraid of appearing politically incorrect.

I think it a story. Just shouldn't be THE story. Face it there are lots of black players playing. This shows that it is possible for blacks who are qualified to coach teams and coach at the highest levels.
