Squares do win with square plays. Laying double digits on the road with a questionable QB is a square play. Win, lose or draw. The books love paying anyone who wins these games. So if you want your limits increased and very fast payouts just bet road favorites.

well Florida was the play....they won. Obviously things considered "square" plays are going to win sometimes....so does making a "square" bet make you a bad capper, or does the fact that you chose the winning side make you a good capper? As far as I'm concerned it's all about picking the winner.

You're starting to sound like Zboiz........LSU was the right play.....even though it lost

You got to be kidding here. Playing the #1 and #2 teams in the country as road favorites in single digits is the sharpest play.

    2-0 playing donkey plays.

    dbldown,

Florida covered and everyone who had them last week is to be congratulated...I still agree with john's point though...

yeah I guess laying 9.5 on the road with a questionable QB isnt a good play.....IF the team they are playing isnt highly overrated like LSU is and was, and the team laying the 9.5 isnt last years defending national champs with almost all starters returning

    pags11,

If you just want to see who can get better numbers... It's probably me, notwithstanding your skill at Matchbook.

why don't you track plays on your spreadsheet?

John, you do realize that just about every thread you've started about a pick has lost, right?

Including the "risk a finger" guarantees.

I don't think you have any business telling people who is a square and who isn't.

    justin,

I'm not familiar enough with your work to confirm or deny that...I do know you are as good with numbers as anyone on the net...I have tracked my performance the last five years and I have been ahead of the curve a little over 70% of the time with my plays...

my point about the contest between the two of us is that I feel I should be allowed to use the numbers in my thread...I'm sure you will agree we both shouldn't be penalized for being sharp and being ahead of the line move...

SBR John..............I contend it depends on the situation. While Florida could have easily lost and you then would have been able to rub everyone's face in it they didn't they didn't because they were the better team. Personally I was down early in the week because I figured Tebow would play and expected the line to go higher once he was announced. You can call me a square and that's fine no-ones gonna be able to change your mind, but I considered the play from every angle and knowing this team fairly well considered them the right side. Would I have done this in every situation with Florida? Absolutely not.

I certainly will never consider myself a sharp but I won't be labeled a square until I'm not winning either.

I'd rather be square and rich then hip and broke... The only right play is the winning play. Everything else is a LOSER.

I do not consider you a square at al wal...I will be the first to admit that I have been on the square side many times in my wagering career, many times this year in fact...

I've no idea what that is, but the story behind the avatar is a lot more interesting that.

The play was to pay attention and take the middle that many of us did. The most common middle was Florida -7 to LSU +10.5. You will not get another opportunity to play a middle on a game of this stature this year, so congrats to those who were smart enough to play this middle.

Now I don't know if I'm to ask if it's relevant because you too are like the former lil' boy, the current tranny or because you accept everyone for who they are?

Even as I ask the question I fully expect to be falling for the butt of a joke.

The avatar pic is just the height of irony. Most people of a certain age in the UK knows the kid to be an annoying little know it all shit who they would gladly punch in the face. And since that's so far away from how I'm perceived here, I thought it would be funny to use.

Sports betting elitism. I love it. People on these forums tend to believe that winning with dogs and unders makes them superior to people who win with favorites and overs. Look at the numbers, favorites cover pretty much just as often as dogs do. Winning is winning and there is no more glory in winning with dogs and unders, in my opinion,
