Default NETELLER - USD Bank Wire Withdrawals No Longer Available

Have you guys receive this? Does that mean that we will be forced to convert USD into other currencies?

------------------------------------------------
Dear NETELLER Member,

Thank you for your request. Due to recent legislative changes, NETELLER can no longer process USD bank wire withdrawals. This includes intermediary and beneficiary banks for international wires.

We remain committed to providing you with the following withdrawal options:

Issue a bank wire in another currency
NETELLER can issue you a bank wire in Euro or GBP with a foreign exchange fee (1.9% + daily rate). Australian residents can have their bank wires converted into Australian dollars with the same fees applied. This may take up to 15 business days to complete.

Please note the funds will be converted back to your bank account currency when they are received by your bank. Please enquire with your bank about any additional fees.

Open a NETELLER account in a currency other than USD
Your existing USD account will be closed and replaced with a new currency account. Please contact us to initiate this change.

Use the NETELLER Card
By certifying your bank account, we can give you a NETELLER Card which you can use to withdraw funds from ATMs anywhere in the world. To certify your bank account, we require a utility bill within the last three months and photo ID (a copy of your driver’s license or passport).

You may contact us at your convenience to make arrangements for your withdrawal. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you and thank you for your patience and understanding.

To learn more about the impacts of the US legislation, visit our Business Update page.

Thank you for choosing NETELLER.

NETELLER Processing

Trusted by millions of members and thousands of merchants, NETELLER is the world’s largest independent money transfer business. NETELLER is a public company traded on the London exchange (AIM) and NETELLER UK Ltd. is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Is anyone able to advise me whether is Neteller BS me about this? Is there no other way I can get back my USD from them without converting to other Currency apart from using Neteller Card?

FWIW Neteller is not accepting new money either. A friend of mine trying to deposit $5,000 from his Wells Fargo bank account, had this transaction cancelled; by Neteller!

I think these problems only apply to Neteller accounts of international customers which are denominated in US$ .

It's business as normal for Euro or British Pound etc. denominated accounts.

Of course most books only work in US$ - so the high currency exchange conversion costs effectively makes Neteller useless for many international customers as well.

EFTs out of neteller are OK at this point, but not bank wires...seems to be some confusion on other forums regarding what's been stated here...just wanted to clarify things...

With regards to my first post, I tried to ask Neteller to tell me more about changing my money to other currencies or to get a Neteller Card. And when they replied me after a 3 days break (and I thought they suppose to offer 24x7 support), they told me to call them to initiate a change........

Maybe it's my english, but I was never thought that "Give me the details" equal to "Change It".........

With the way they are doing things, I am really scared

I have a US$ account, linked to a British Bank. They've always converted the US$ to GBP before depositing in my bank, sending the wire in GBP. They did the same on my request from this morning, confirming the £ amount before removing the $ from my account.

I think it is OK for Canadians as they can still do EFTs. But for the rest of the world USD EFTs were not available (those were only available to people with a North American address). Now with US$ bank wires no longer available it makes things difficult for customers with accounts denominated in US$ but who live in European countries (or anywhere else outside of North America).

Constantly converting £ or € to US$ and back again is going to be expensive in currency exchange rate fees.

It's worse for me, I live in Asia. And I have to convert from USD to Pounds or Euro, and to my currency. And on top of that, Neteller says they are charging 1.9% as a conversion fees....... Isn't this really crap? They took my money in USD, and now telling me they can't pay me back in USD. Oh, and they didn't reply me again yesterday.

If your neteller NETELLER currency was in Euro could you send funds to merchants accounts(books) if they had setup your account for US dollar?

One thing I don't understand is Neteller keeps telling the reason why they can't send USD Bankwire is due to US Legislative... But what does a US Legislative gotta do with a UK Listed company sending USD to its customers? BTW, nobody can be trading USD in the whole world

I can't believe this. I got a friend to do a check with Neteller about bankwire, and they actually didn't say no to USD!!! Can we trust them anymore?

Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delayed response due to high volumes. However the option withdraw back to your bank account is called a "Member Wire". Member wires are manually processed and sent back to your bank account like a bank wire.

To initiate a MEMBER WIRE withdrawal, you need to e-mail MemberWire@neteller.com with your request for the Member Wire. Please make sure to include your first and last name, the requested amount of the withdrawal, and a telephone number that is listed on your NETELLER account. A NETELLER representative will contact you for confirmation purposes as well as to record banking information. This may take 2-7 business days for the funds to be posted in your bank account. There is a fee, which does depend on your currency: £7.00 GBP, $12.75 USD, $17.00 CAD, or €10.50 EURO

Should you have any questions, please contact NETELLER Customer Service, available 24 hours a day.

Thank you for choosing NETELLER.

I rang them today and they said no US$ withdrawals, not even if it was going from their bank in London to my bank in London.

They say funds have to be converted to £ or € and then sent to the bank.

Maybe they have different policies for people in different countries ?

Guess what now, 3 days after Neteller sent me an email to tell me they received my memberwire request, I realised to my horror that my money is still with them. They haven't even processed it. Can we trust them anymore?

Default Neteller Policies

A few things to consider:

Neteller's policies are changing on an almost daily basis lately, as a result of the US legislation. For the most part, this has little effect on most non- US players. One thing that may feel like a major thing for some people is the fact that Neteller no longer transacts with US $ bank accounts, regardless of location. That's an almost word for word quote from http://content.neteller.com/content/...nessupdate.htm

While the news you're hearing from some reps at Neteller may seem iinconsistent, it's only because of changing developments. And no one at Neteller likes these changes anymore than you do, but Neteller is backed into a corner. And yes, they do have 24/7 support via telephone, LiveChat and email. The only reason there's a delay in email response, or other methods of communication is because, surprisingly enough, you're not the only one emailing or calling them with questions. All customer inquiries are answered as quickly as possible, in the order in which they are received. And yes, I work there, that's how I know.

Roomguy,

Are you a customer service rep? So if you work there, what's the real deal? Are we ever going to get our money back? Why is neteller stalling. what are the real issues here?

I think i speak a little
I guess he wrote about USD bankwire, but I will ask again.
We are members of EU, but we have our own currency, because of incompetent government, so many people use USD.

It would have to be sent in Euro.

Neteller still refuses all outgoing USD wires for all international customers (to the best of my knowledge).
