Default What in the hell is a "One UNIT" bet ? For me it is...

It is really 2 units well see I dont like fraction or decimals and dont want the next step up to be double the last. are u lost?

    My base bet = 2
    If it's strong = 3 (50% more)
    If it's a lean = 1

I have base units, and I just multiply them as I feel stronger or see more value on a certain game.

The unit size increases every few months, as my bankroll increases.

I try to stay within 50% of my base, as you, my base amount will change. (hopefully up)

I don't really use units, I was just trying to get an idea of your conviction. I understand many of you cappers use "units" terminology. When the %ev of your bets is unclear, using a unit system is as good as any.

I'm more of a technical/scalper player so I usually have some idea what my edge is in each bet. The more edge, the more I bet. Not necessarily Kelly, b/c my bankroll is modest compared to my kelly bankroll (total worth).

If my base bet is 2, my lean is 1, then my strong would be 2.5 to 6 or so.

6 would be very high for me, a drunk bet

I've had bets like that before, but not in sports.

For me, I'm usually scalping bonuses so a question of bet size is usually about how much risk i'm willing to take by doing less of the bad side (maxing out the good side).
