Default Avoid Neteller EFTs For Now

I just called the Neteller VIP line to ask them a different question, and the representative said, “We’re letting everyone who calls know that we are currently having technical problems with our EFTs. We recommend making your withdrawals through the Neteller ATM card, which should still be working fine. We recommend if you have any EFT withdrawals that haven’t been processed, you cancel them and use the card instead.”

I asked him if he could tell me more about what the problem is, and he said “We haven’t been told very much, just that it’s something with a processor.” I asked him if he had any idea how long it might be before they were working again and he said he did not. He suggested checking back about once a day.

I had requested an EFT Monday and that hit my bank fine today (though peculiarly, as I noted in another thread, it showed up as “Accepted” a day earlier than my bank actually got it). I requested another one this morning, but I agreed to let him cancel it for me and put it back in my account.

I then transferred (successfully) all but $1,000 of my balance back to sportsbooks. My plan is to take out the $1,000 with the ATM card tomorrow, and then I guess as long as they remain open to Americans I’ll make small transfers from sportsbooks to Neteller and take out another $1,000 with the card each day.

    TLD,

what is your advice if you don't have a ATM card?...I shoul have my EFT from my bank to neteller hit on Monday or Tuesday, but getting the money out will be the question...I guess I could transfer it to a book (Cris, wsex or matchbook) and it'd be easier to get out? Or maybe by then they will have fixed the EFT issue...Do you think the problem is all of the people requesting EFT's all at once?

    My advice would be:

    1. Apply for the card immediately, just in case you’re still having to fiddle with Neteller by the time you get it. It can’t hurt to have it, and it might help at some point.

    2. As soon as your EFT deposit is available in your Neteller account, call Neteller to see if the EFT withdrawal problem has been solved and they are being processed normally. If so, pull out your money immediately.

    3. If an EFT withdrawal is still not available at that time, transfer the funds into a book or books that you trust more than Neteller. If you want to subsequently withdraw from them and they tell you it has to go back to Neteller, plead extenuating circumstances that you don’t have a Neteller ATM card and they are not doing EFTs so you’d have no access to your money, and see if they’ll make an exception for you.

There is also the option of getting a check from Neteller, which I’ve never done, but I’d certainly try to get my money out via a faster method than that if possible.

I'm officially a little nervous now. Aren't max ATM card withdrawals $500 a day? I can't even dent my Neteller balance with that, not that I have the card anyway. Hopefully my EFTs hit the bank tomorrow but it doesn't sound good.

I had never once been able to withdraw $1,000 daily from ATM using NT DC. The most I can get is $800 from BkofAma ATM.

I keep hearing so many people talking about taking out $1,000 daily.

and don't forget the $2 charge to move money from NT account to DC. And another 2-4 dollars withdrawing money from ATM.

So the $2 charge is the cost imposed by Neteller for transferring the money to the DC and the $2-$4 is the fee imposed by the bank you're withdrawing from, right?

$2 to transfer money from your Neteller account to your Neteller ATM card (maximum $1,000).

$1.50 to take cash out of an ATM machine with your Neteller ATM card (maximum $1,000).

In addition whoever’s machine it is takes a fee. Where I go, the fee is $2.00, which seems to be pretty standard. The machine also imposes a maximum withdrawal, which can be lower than what Neteller allows, though all the ones around where I live let me take out the full $1,000.

So you pay about half a percent ($5.50 per $1,000) fee to withdraw your money via this method.

EFT means Electronic Funds Transfer from Neteller to your bank account or vice versa. I did an EFT last week, so they're still doing EFTs as far as I know.

As far as EFTs taking up to 2 weeks. They took 3-5 days anyway, so I don't know what all of the fuss is about. Similar to how Pinny took 8 hours for my final payout rather than 8 seconds, you gotta realize what's going on right now, and adjust accordingly. I don't understand all of the angst in this thread.

To get your money off the card you have to use multiple ATMS. Its not the card that limits you its the ATM you withdraw from.

Unfortunately all EFT withdrawals will take at least 2 weeks if not longer.

    they also said

The neteller card is our DC that can be used to withdraw funds. But it can take upto 4-6 weeks for you to receive one if sent.

I think slackers' analogy to the pinny payout situation is a good one...as we get through this mass panic, EFTs will probably get back to being less than a week...

You can move $1000 a day onto your card (actually 998 after $2 fee. Neteller allows you to take out $1200 a day from your ATM card. Most ATM's will not alow you to take out this much in one tranaction. However, you usually can do two transactions at the aTM to get a total of $1200 out.

BTW, it sounds like ETF's from gambling sites are being blocked by ***************.
