    Press Release

SportsDirect Inc., home to Covers.com and Wagerline.com, celebrates expansion of offices and work force

Ground breaks on structural addition, nearly doubling office space to house staff that is now home to over 100 employees

    Halifax, Canada August 15, 2005

SportsDirect Inc., the leader in sports information for the sports gaming enthusiast, announced the expansion of the company to include an office in Las Vegas, Nevada and construction of a bigger office at its Halifax, Nova Scotia headquarters today. The moves come in response to provide space for a staff that doubled in two years to pass the 100-employee mark. The new office space adds almost 23,000 square feet to the existing structure at 77 Chain Lake Drive in Halifax.

The company began in 1995 as the publisher of Covers.com. The website has since grown into one of the largest sports gaming sites on the Internet, visited by millions of users annually. SportsDirect Inc. now publishes over a dozen properties including CoversExperts.com, a paid information site; Wagerline.com, a contest driven sportsbook simulation; and Pokerfan.com, a popular destination for poker information.

"The level of growth is something all of us have worked hard to achieve," said ***********, founder and CEO of SportsDirect Inc. "The new addition to our Halifax location will allow for our constantly increasing numbers to achieve even greater success in the future."

The new office in Las Vegas will house employees for Covers Media Group (CMG), a subsidiary company of SportsDirect Inc. that handles existing e-commerce and European facing properties such as Covers.co.uk and CoversExperts.com. It joins the other CMG office based in Galway, Ireland.

Still think they only make $400k a year JJ? That would be tough to pay a staff of over 100.

    LOL

    Wagerline is nothing special

We really do not know if they have 100 employees

I have ran cooperations in my day and you always beef up the numbers of workforce to make you an attractive player in the market place

Wagerline had more traffic than Covers when Covers bought them for $1.5 million.

You are falling off your game Coach...get back on the saddle man!

Covers will makes more than $400k a month during football. The CHEAPEST ad spot for a sportsbook on that site is $5k+ a month. The big boys (BoDog and Sportsbook) pay more money than you could ever imagine for their spots.

Covers Experts alone makes more money than most of these watchdog sites.

I think USA Today get more clicks than Wagerline comparing sports pages. I never liked the losers from Covers and my main men are Statfox

You will see how they take the game over unless covers buys them out

Yea JJ? We have never had any problems with them or know of any books that complain about them. A few have said they are very expensive but nothing bad.

We have worked with them on player issues without any problems.

they used to be selective in their advertisers but obviously with BetUS they can't claim that anymore. That upfront money sure makes people forget about the players they have stolen from.

Not only that but if you are not careful they will ban you for posting too many winners, they would much rather have a board full of losers then winners.....

I got banned from Covers for pointing out some huge mistakes another poster made in an analysis of a game. When I contacted them about my banning, they said I had broke the rules.... I asked them what rules I broke, all I heard after that was silence .....

Well, My # of posts on covers before banned = 1 (and that was replying to a thread in which the guy was obvously so far off on an analysis it was comical)

I will NEVER return to that craphole

Screw them, screw them in their shaved gay asses with unlubed black transexuals bending them over and making them waterproof.

Their loss Juicer, you are a great addition here. Although in my many years I'm pretty sure I never heard anyone say "screw them in their shaved gay asses with unlubed black transexuals bending them over...." . probably a litt;e more detail than I really needed at 6 in the morning but hey, rock on!

It just pissed me off when I remember posting on there. It was right before I came here (If I didnt get banned I probobly never would have ever ended up here)

Seriously, the guys analysis of the game was way off, he had stats and trends that NEVER HAPPENED... I tore apart his analysis, based it with facts, links and the correct trends.

I guess he was one of thier golden childs, or a mod or even a paid poster lol, and they didnt like someone with 0 posts pointing out how unfactual his analysis was. But it makes you wonder how many people lost money on his "Picks and analysis" cause that game he gave, the team he picked to win got totally blown out of the water lol.

I wonder if that poster was somehow making a huge profit for covers.com when people followed his picks/analysis and lost money on it .... now you got me thinking

Won 3 wagerline caps from them and never received any of them. One was won over 2 years ago and the others over 4 months and 2 months ago. Email them about this numerous times and they never responded which to me means they don't give a shit about their members.

SBR always delivers when prizes are won and this is a much better forum and site. Going 0-3 on receiving prizes from Covers makes me think that they don't pay out any of their contest winners.
