    Default Question about refs

If athletes have to undergo drug testing, then why do refs not have to pass a regular lie detector test?

Thought crossed my mind as I'm watching a ref crew manage the score at a basketball game, and flip to the football game where zebras take away a crucial Philly completion that would have put them close to field goal range. That call decided the game. In favor of Saints. As already expected by some.

It's simple. Who do you think are pulling the strings? Who pulled the strings for the Steelers last year?

And did anybody catch earlier in the game after the Eagles scored the TD when Akers kicked off and they "accidently" put down the wrong ball for him (the harder one, so it didn't get very far through the air or something). He came to the sidelines complaining to the Eagles coaches.

Steelers? That was me. Got them right at start of playoffs. But my powers have left me. So who is doing this? You?!

Actually the guy pulling the strings is Cancer Man on the X-Files. In one episode he said he didn't want the Bills to win the Super Bowl. So they went on and lost to Dallas like they were supposed to.

Yep, I heard them saying something like that. That he kicked off with the wrong ball. Unreal.

I remember that clearly....I've always hoped since that Cancer Man likes, or at the very least is neutral, to the Red Sox...

I didn't like the refs in this game either, but the false start was a legit call. I noticed it right away and thought they missed it. On the reply, the side judge was running in quickly but the play went on because of the crowd noise and the fact Garcia threw quickly because it was a blitz.
