Exclamation Wake up fellows, the writing is on the wall....

Sorry fellows, it's all over but the crying. I said that in previous posts and was laughed at but now my words ring truer than ever. Just too many signs to ignore right now. A brief review of the past few months events should tell the tale:

1. Attacks by U.S. gvmt on pay processors such as credit
cards and Paypal
2. Various low level books closing down
3. Various high quality Non Carribean A level books shutting
their doors such as Bowman's, Canbet, Bet365, etc...
4. Neteller closing down to U.S. customers
5. WWTS closing down
6. The gold standard of online books Pinnacle closes
down "voluntarilly" to U.S. customers.
7. ????? Only time will tell

Sure some will look beyond this and use the same old tired out rhetoric about "as long as Book X is around everything will be fine" or "What's to worry, A new payment processer will come out and pick up where Neteller left off" or "the U.S. gvmnt can't possibly get everyone" or "the U.S. gvmt is just using intimadation tactics they won't seriously carry out on what they say."

Sorry fellows....it's not going to happen. The U.S. Congress is made up of religous lunatics who are bent on imposing their moral standards on all of us. Bill and John will give you good news all the time that's their job. They'll tell you what you want to hear but I'll tell you the truth It's far more likely right now for more books to close down than Pinnacle to come back.

What needs to happen: A revolution Not just in thinking but in action. It's time to mobilize and take action. First things first. Stop electing Republicans and Democrats. Specifically, the Republicans right now are the slime beneath the rocks in the ocean. Democrats are like the seaweed that floats around in a polluted lake. It's time to stop electing these dumb ****s into office and take a good hard look at some of the local Anarchist and Socialist candidates. Afterwords, we spread the message about our cause and then victory is ours because our message is truth.

Did prohibition stop alcohol consumption? Gambling will go on. Human nature.

If we can overthrow the government and start from scratch that would be great. Yet somehow I doubt that what will rise in its place will turn out to be better. Human nature.

I just don't see enough high-minded people in the US to make a revolution pay off in the long run. What I've seen the past eight years is cowardice.

Good points Buddybear. What are your opinions on the timeframe that it will take for the US government to legalize and regulate online gambling. The regulation end would be extremely easy as they could control the money going in and out from a third party, thus allowing for the taxation to be quite simple. My opinion is 3 to 7 years, more than likely that latter as I can't see Rudy standing for his own opinions to get it past the Republican party.

I hope we tell it straight. There is no reason to paint a different picture.

I don't see the end of the industry because of Pinnacle or the Safe Harbor Act. Certainly I see the screws tighting. Look at our sites and you can see. There have not been any call to action banners, no bet nows, no bonuses. We also have a site just for US players.

But just as we have done the industry will simply adapt. Players will go to the other books just like they did when BoS fell.

Legalizing gambling isn't going to happen. The US is probably the most puritan country in the world. The backlash from the Bible Belt against legalizing gambling would send the Republican party into a tailspin from which it would not recover. Extremists and fundamentalists have a huge vote in this country. The flaw in democracy is that it doesn't throw out the five or ten percent of extremists who throw off the entire system. Democracy should adept the gambler's model of throwing out the highest and lowest scores when projecting a score.

I think you are mixing things up...Pinnacle WAS safe, and Cris Greek Wsex and all the others still are.
If they are forced to pull out too, you WILL get paid 99.99999%.

I dont understand why you think those books are not safe.
What Pinny had to do sucks, but why worry about your funds?
