excellent questions...a number of reasons...yes, I think the legal concerns are definitely a factor...plus the fact that I live locally...I also actually knew Garet before he started wagerfree and while most people won't agree with this statement I believe him to be a man of character...I think he just got into some deep crap between not running his business correctly, to chargebacks by customers that lost, etc...I am just hoping to be done with this soon and am very pleased he's been cooperating...

Pags has met authorities in person and Garet is aware of this. He did a lot for the investigation and is a big part of the arrest warrant finally being issued. Garet made an investment to keep himself out of jail but as desperate as he was, he still had to make installments to Pags. Hopefully the police will find him and the courts will find he has some assets to seize.

Garet faces two category B felony counts (Case No. RCR 2006-026300) brought by The Nevada Gaming Control Board for unlicensed gambling activity. Victims of the deposit-only sportsbook can follow the case, which is public record, once court room proceedings begin at http://www.washoecourts.com/. Garet is expected to be arraigned shortly at the Second Judicial Court of Washoe County. Players are hopeful that the court will order the former WagerFree(SBR rating F-) operator to pay restitution.

word I'm getting is that Garet's trial continues to get pushed back...he remains in jail as the DA and his attorney try to work out a deal...I've heard that they're offering a one felony count of illegal gambling activity as the deal, but he's yet to take it...will keep everyone updated once I hear more...

OK, latest I've heard is that Garet will enter a plea deal of guilty to one felony count of illegal operation of a sports gambling website...after that we should be able to get the civil suit going vs. him...I've been told that he's out on bail...hopefully he shows up to his hearing...will let you guys know more later this week...

Garet Bradford has been found and I know precisely where he is. I have the comprehensive list of people owed and amounts. It's not pretty. Anyone interested in seeing justice come to this case can contact me directly at nurseygirl66@yahoo.com. If you are owed money, I have your email address, but I want to be sure that enough people are interested in this before I begin contacting people. Garet has screwed me over worse than you can imagine, and I have learned that there is no such thing as victim's rights.

After a slight delay, it appears there is a plan in place to pursue criminal and civil charges against Garet Bradford and Wagerfree. Each player must individually call the Nevada Attorney General at 1-775-684-1100 and file a report with the fraudulent claims department.

Once these charges are filed, SBR will retain legal services of a Nevada licensed attorney with the intention of filing a class action civil suit. Legal fees will be paid for by SBR. Wagerfree victims will not be required to invest any of their own funds.

Many WagerFree victims have asked for the ability to speak to each other. The Email list has not been an overwhelming success and was not as private as some would have liked. A posting thread may do a better job helping players to communicate.

You are welcome to use the private messaging feature as well. No one will be asked to submit personal information within this thread.

If nothing else, this thread will be updated with the progress of dismantling Wagerfree.com.

I would caution anyone about giving information to someone without knowing exactly who they are and their motivation. WagerFree was operated by a conman whos name was publicly available. The only route with a US-based scam of any kind is to go to authorities. Unless he is running a new sportsbook offshore, I don't see why his whereabouts are important.
