Default Is OHIO STATE THE BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY

I really think they have been solid. I know they lost to USC at home but that was a tough obstacle and they have looked really solid. They will be tough to beat the rest of the year. When it is all said and done I like them to be right there near or #1. What do you guys think?

did you forget the navy gm at hm week 1 when they nearly lost? the big-10 is more down than usual this yr but ohio state might win it because of that, then they can go to a bcs bowl and lose yet again. they cannot compete with the best of the sec and big 12. thats a fact. even when texas did not care about the fiesta bowl last yr because the horns thought they should be in the title gm instead of oklahoma, the horns still beat the buckeyes. anyways, i think purdue, penn st, and michigan, will all cause ohio st problems so i believe theyll lose 1 of those for a 10-2 and maybe even 9-3 season. hardly near #1 like you might think. stick to basketball maybe?

lakerboy, florida and texas are both gona finish higher than ohio st, hell, even boise state will finish higher than ohio st as will many other teams. dont get impressed by beating toledo last wk and illinois today. illinois lost by 30 to missouri on a neutral field, and this is a missouri team that is brand new from last yr.

Thier D has looked great except at the end of the 4th quarter vs Navy. I am a SEC fan and they are stronger then most of our teams.

you have to be kidding me. look at 2005 when ohio state and penn state had kick ass teams and even wisconsin, michigan, michigan st etc, all made decent bowls. this yr, ohio st may win the conference because just about everybody else is down. penn st lost too much from last yr and watch iowa beat them today or keep it very very close, mich is improved but no great team in the big-10, and look at how they have done in non-conf in big gms...wisky barely beats fresno, ohio st loses to usc, minny gets beaten at hm by cal, mich st loses to cent mich, i can keep going if you want me to, i have knowledge up the fukkin wazzooooo about this

The bottom line is that OState will be there at the end and thats all that matters. They have an unreal defense.

Sorry fish, The SEC is the best until it's been dethroned.
If State loses tonight, OSU is the only team left and their offense is shaky at best. Iowa is not ranked and Michigan almost lost to Indiana today.

Big 10 is the most overrated conference in America right behind The Pac-10 year in and year out.

3 straight SEC National Champions FL, LSU and FL. Go back to 2003 and LSU won it again. That's 4 out of the last 6 years.

When all is said and done I'd bank on Florida or Bama taking home the National Championship and making it 4 straight years and 5 out of the last 7 for The SEC.

Now if we were talking about basketball, it's ACC or Big East no doubt, but this is football.

Obviously that's all that can be done but did you see OSU even play today? At halftime OSU had 0 yards passing. You can't win just running the ball outside of the Big 10.

Agree, Ole Miss has the talent, not the coach. I know as he was previously the coach of Arkansas. Georgia no defense, LSU.... Les Miles no longer has Saban's recruits...so things aren't going to be as good as before but they are the 3rd best SEC team. Auburn, who knows... wait and see.

Not even close, Ohio State isn't even the best team in the Big Ten (Penn State is).

Not that that's saying much, the Big Ten is still garbage. SEC is still the best conference top to bottom.

What does Saban recruits has to do with Les Miles!!

Les Miles and Saban fight for the same recruits every year. Miles win sometimes and Saban wins sometimes. You guys kill me with that. You act like Saban get all his players from Cali and Miles gets all his players from florida. Saban and Miles recruits the same people.

Texas is the best team in the country after Florida. Ohio State is not even BCS material.

Put the crack pipe down now.

The worst team in the SEC (I'm not even sure who that is) is better than the bottom half of the Big Ten.

Les Miles inherited Saban's recruits after he left. I'm talking about the National Championship in 2007 that LSU won with Saban recruits. What did you think I was talking about?

Saban left LSU after the end of the 2004 season. So in 2007 Miles had Nick Saban's last recruits still on the team. What that means is that if some recruits were redshirted at some point that Miles will be using only the players he recruited from here on out and not Nick Saban's recruits. Which I think you'll now see LSU go downhill from here.

I was not talking about them competing for recruits.
The same thing happened at Ole Miss. Houston Nutt inherited all of Ed Orgeron's recruits, but Ole Miss will see the demise soon enough after they all pass through.

    Understand?

Iowa basically toyed with Arizona.......they won by 10, should have been 30.

    Iowa defense shut them down.

Florida has been the best team by far the last half decade, no team even close, USC is done, Ohio St couldnt even beat that crap USC team that Washington wasted

However if Tebow's injury in today's joke game sidelines him thats a different story
