Cal is the better team, no doubt about it. They don't have any real weaknesses, while Oregon has a couple of glaring ones. Most noticeably at quarterback; Cal's got the 2nd best QB in the conference (behind Jake Locker), Oregon (to this point) has the worst in Jeremiah Masoli.

But college foots is a funny game. These two teams ALWAYS play eachother tough, and Oregon flourishes at home. Keep in mind that all Cal has done is dominated what looks to be a very bad Maryland team (38-35 OT win over James Madison, 32-32 loss to Middle Tennessee), dominate I-AA Eastern Washington, and beat Minnesota 35-21... Minny though was 21-21 at the end of the 3rd, and for a defense that is supposed to be as good as Cal's, Minny having the same exact production as they did against Cuse and Air Force wasn't all that re-assuring.

Even with Masoli not throwing the ball, he's still a huge playmaker on his feet, and LaMichael James is an emerging star. Cal covering wouldn't surprise me at all; but it's going to take their best effort. And they still haven't convinced me they can play on the road.
