    Default Mexican pesos now legal tender in good old U.S.A.

    Dallas-based food chain to accept Mexican pesos

    Starting Monday, patrons of the Dallas-based Pizza Patrón chain, which caters heavily to Latinos, will be able to purchase American pizzas with Mexican pesos.

    Does this mean I have to go spend good us dollars on a peso to us money conversion chart for my employees?Please let me know when this is heading northeast so I have to prepare for this fiasco!!!Got any more good news Sam?

    Any business can decide to accept any currency or barter any time they like. Sounds like a good move for them. Certainly got them some PR.

    Not sure what the big deal about this is? I can spend dead presidents on the south side of the Rio Grande, why not take pesos here? Granted, the US Dollar has a history of remaining more stable than the peso, but that's a decision each business operator needs to make on their own.

    Hell, I've been using confederacy money for quite some time now. You'd be surprised how many establishments still take it.

    many places take the canadian dollar and have for a long time so not sure if this is big news though i guess if alot of places started doing it though the US $ would decline further

    They do? I remember trying to pay for something in Walgreens one time and I had a mix of change in my pocket. The cashier looked at the money and then picked out a single Canadian penny and refused to take it. LOL Its a hunk of copper...who cares what insignia is stamped on it?
