I guess I'm a little bored today so I have been watching SBRLines and watching CRIS and Pinnacle position themselves on this game is quite intriguing. CRIS has been bouncing back and forth between 7 and 7.5 @ -110 and Pinnacle keeps changing their juice on the KC side from +105 to +107. When Pinnacle changes to +105 to KC, CRIS goes to -7 -110 on Indy. When CRIS goes to -7-110 on Indy, Pinnacle jumps back up to +7+107 on KC.

I've never really noticed this before today. Is this typical or am I just realizing something everyone else knows?

WSEX just went to 7.5 -110 on Indy. The dynamic may change now.

It looks to me like WSEX and CRIS need KC money and Pinnacle needs Indy money.

Did you happen to see how 5dimes line on that game fluctuated on that game.

I see that happen a lot in college hoops. You'd be amazed at how those lines move and shake.

Yeah, Dan, I did. It looked to me though that 5 Dimes was totally adjusting according to Pinnacle. Between 8 and 8.5 but, if I'm not mistaken, you can get whatever line you want at 5 Dimes anyway (down to 7 with some chalk).


I don't think there is any doubt that WSEX and CRIS need KC money in a bad way. CRIS finally stopped fighting and settled on 7.5.

Well, that was interesting to observe. Don't know if I learned anything but nonetheless an interesting battle.

In the end, I may have been wrong about what Pinnacle needed. They ended @ KC +7 +108 which I never saw that the entire time I watched. They may have needed KC money as well.

I feel that way a lot. I'll admit I don't know why most of what happens happens. (Certainly no shortage of 'expert' opinions about it out here in cyberspace, however.)

I'd like to spend a month sitting and watching whoever makes the decisions at Pinny or Cris. I know, fat chance. Maybe if they told them I was doing a doctoral thesis . . .

Jay, yeah, I still don't think I learned anything but it was interesting to observe the pattern. With all the talk about how money moves lines, the pattern I witnessed did not indicate that. You would think for an NFL playoff game that lots of money is being put down but it sure didn't look like that money was having a major influence.
