Default I'm having a very strange problem with the lines, any suggestions?

Everytime a line changes a real player screen pops up and tries to download software like it is a video, and then most of the time it makes my internet explorer quit. It never did this before but then started doing this a couple days ago.

What are your file associations for RP?

Sounds like your computer may associate the sound option with real player and is trying to open a sound file instead of playing it from the browser.

Try using the options menu to disable sound. This should solve that issue.

Also can you please let me know what browser type and operating system you are using?

Internet Explorer and XP, thanks Dave it seems to have worked, the sound worked for SBRlines1 for me, but no big deal to not have sound.

I'll ask Smitty to check into this 1st thing tomorrow. Maybe you can check your real player setting and see if there is an option to play sound files in the browser without opening a new window.

I just opened up IE (I use FF).

    Try this RM18.

    Click Tools, select Internet Options.
    Click on the Advance Tab.
    Scroll to Multimedia.
Check box - Play sounds in web pages.
Check box - Play video in web pages.

Let us know if that fixes the problem.

Not to beat this into the ground if you've already figured it out, but you can also try changing Real Player's file associations. Under "Misc. Media" in the file type options, there is a box for SMIL. Uncheck this so RP doesn't try and play it. That may also work, and you should still be able to have sound.
