Thanks Dan, maybe they could introduce for Grand Slam events at least.

Very small complaint, but I've also wondered the same when it comes to live betting, at least soccer related.....NFL and NCAA are always dynamic, but for some reason (thinking back to the World Cup) I had to auto refresh the lines....

It isn't just in Tennis ... many lower volume markets (lower volume at Pinnacle at least) also lack the dynamic lines facility.

I suspect it may in some way be related to making the task of scalping a bit more difficult.

I'm sure Jake Thompson and DMMD would like dynamic lines for UFC.

Heres my question I emailed to pinny:

I am just curious why you guys don't have dynamic lines for Tennis?

    Please advise
    Heres there generic reply back:

Well as you can see that answer wasn't good enough, so I replied back with the same question and got this response:

    Dear Sir,

Please be informed that this decision has been taken by our Linesmen Department and that their decisions are internal.

I have asked them to email me back with a valid answer, but I doubt I'll ever get one.

They said the decision is internal, why should they tell you?

Why do you think they have dynamic lines?
Because they feel very safe on major sports, and want to get all those bets/scalps in on line changes.
Tennis is not a major sport, now figure the rest out for yourself genius. This really hurts...

Um! Next time take a look at betfair for tennis, one of the most traded sports around the world. I would consider it major when some obscure match in Australia has over 2 million traded on it. To me it's huge and would attract plenty of scalps to Pinnacle if they had dynamic lines. Maybe that's why they don't have it.

At least they could have replied to Dan's e-mail with a better response. Pinnacle is No.1 but they let themselves down in communication I feel.

I think everyone here knew the answer to this question, but of course we had to see it through.

Heres the final reply I received from them on this subject:

    Dear Sir,

It is uncertain whether Dynamic Lines will be offered on tennis in the future.

Please check our site for any update.

I just wish I could play at Betfair is all because they would get a hell of a lot of my tennis action.

Any chance of SBR Live Betting Lines to track Tennis?

Who would be the best person at SBR to influence in to tracking Tennis?

    Cheers

Its true, try watching dynamics on a college hoops saturday with 100 or more games. I have a good comp with 2gb ram but i get slowed down too.

Yoshi you are correct. I dont even use it anymore, it crushes your PC even a good one. It slows everything down to a halt.

With the possible exception of NCAAB, if Pinnacle dynamic lines is too much for your computer, you need a new computer.

I have a relatively new laptop and the dynamic lines thing sometimes slows down Firefox when I have a lot of tabs open (I try to keep every sportsbook open in a tab, so I tend to have a lot of tabs open.)

its not too much for my comp of course...but if there are many games, Pinny really slows down. And i think JJ is right, that looks like a memory thing.

I wonder why it drains system resources?

Where are the tech clowns when you need them

Don't do Sportpunter, I don't gamble just trade - make a very healthy living at it.

Although, this sportpunter guy is running very hot with Tennis. Last year made a very good profit.

Yoshi, memory makes sense as a potential issue; I have 2GB on my machine and I'm getting a new one that has 9GB so I can handle 6 monitors, and all the windows for them, along with background number crunching. In general, I highly recommend memory upgrades, they've breathed life into more than one computer I thought would have to be replaced.
