Is Matchbook Down?
I just tried going to Matchbook to make some bets for this afternoon and I'm getting a 404 page. Anyone else able to get onto Matchbook right now?

This really is getting to be an embarrassment. This is why while I have yet to believe that Matchbook is financially unstable, I don't believe their profit margin is nearly as high as many people believe it is. I think they're just scraping by, especially with WSEX in a state of slow implosion, and I'm watching them very closely at this point.

the worse is when this shit happens 4 min before game time and you have 6 games waiting to be matched and now you have no idea if you should put these bets elsewhere, and then get stuck with double bets, or no bets at all..
this is a horrible thing with matchy. they leave us hanging.. i hate matchy for this.

I'm stuck with one side open with the over 9.5 on the NYY/LAA game to the tune of $850. Wish me luck...
I thought I was safe making the offer almost four hours before game time but I guess I was wrong. I can't cover at another book in case the other side gets taken at MB....

i wish it was only that easy but here's the problem.. how is he supposed to know it has been cancelled.. maybe someone matched it 1 sec before site went down.. and then he goes puts 850 elsehwere, only to find out he now has 1700$ on the game.
i hate matchy..

i swear to god, i usually place 92% of my bets 1 hr or less before game time... for some freakin reason, i put in my bet there today many hrs ago (335 pm game).. and this site is still not working

i called them and gave them grief! told them this is unacceptable to be down this long when dealing with this much $! its also very scarey that the lady said they have no record or backup of account activity! i laid a large bet down this morning and now i have no clue if its matched or not 3 hours before gametime! insane!

I accepted a bet just b4 it went down. I was able to see it in my reports when the only thing still working for me was the report page. Even though I saw it, I still can't be sure it will stay a bet for me because in the past I remember they not only cancel offers when they go down, but in a case i remember they even cancelled accepted bets that were made after a certain time.

The sad part is that SBR is not on top of this. In the old days they would have contacted MB and come back with a report.
Now? Nothing.
Never thought I'd say this, but I've sort of reached the point where I no longer consider SBR a sportsbook authority. They've changed to something else.
Of course, their help with disputes is still invaluable, but as far as being on top of the industry, and letting us know what is going on? Doesn't seem to be a priority anymore.

Yea, but BBD calling a book and reporting back something that he probably misunderstood really didn't help much.
It is what it is. DDOS or whatever. Pinny was going down daily for half a year.

****, I was clearing a bonus with matched bets and I had a similar problem. I made an offer for NYY +110 at $45.45 to match LAA -110 on a bonus book, and I too, don't know if my bet was matched or not.
I tried at various times from 7AM to 1:30PM and here it is 4:15PM and it's still down!
Has it ever been shown that MB has been the subject of a DDOS attack?

Yay, my offer got matched after all.
I was thinking, I've heard that Matchbook will sometimes cancel your bets when they go down? Is this always true?
If so, what if some dude put $2000 on a game, and then he saw that he screwed up, could he launch a DDOS to try to cancel that bet?
If so, wouldn't it be better for MB to just let all the bets stay in place?
